The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

I contacted my usual A/C tech and was told by him that he was off at the time and referred me to Wentzels Air. On October 10,2023 Wentzels Employee ***** arrived at 9:36 am and examined my unit which is in the garage. He informed me that he would be going in my attic. At 10:35 am ***** informed me that I needed a brand new A/C system. As he was leaving my house he got to his truck and turned around and advised me that he had left the cover off the attic and the light on. He returned and for some reason I looked up at my garage ceiling and told him That Hole was Not there when you arrived. He stood Speechless for a moment and said I was just going to tell you, I stepped through your ceiling. My senses were up as if he had not left the light on and the cover Off in the attic, he would have continued on his way without Informing me of the Damage he had done. He left in such a hurry that he never did put the cover back up Or turn the light off. After an hour or so I thought it best to report this to the Owner. Upon calling I was advised that the Owner did Not talk to Customers. I told her about *****'s actions. She thought it quite funny and said yes he just told me what he'd done. She called me a Liar when I insinuated that if not for my notice of the damage he would Not have even told her. She again would Not let me speak to the Owner. She admitted that she would have someone come out to repair the mess. (Which indicated admission of guilt) When the second person came he made a Bigger mess. I called again, was refused Again. I informed her that I would be Shouting it From the Rooftops what had occured. The next morning I received a call from said Owner and he began Shouting at me that he would be suing me. He called me a Liar, W****, B****. He proceeded to yell at me how he had Sued 4 other people and won for the same reason. The second person Never returned to fix the Mess that ***** made nor the Mess that He himself made. So now 2 messes. Bad Business.

A number of months ago ******* installed a ****** heat pump at my ******** address, locating the condensate pipe outlet next to the pump. The trickle of water leaving the system pooled and flowed onto an adjacent paved walkway leaving it permanently wet and slippery. This became increasingly hazardous. Wentzels **** told me the water should have been directed away from the area. On his arrival, Wentzels ****** noted that the condensate should not have been set to drip onto packed earth. He then called a colleague to bring him a small bag of stones. Sitting on the back of his truck outside the house, he waited. Over an hour. The work was later described as a two-man job. According to ******* the second man was "driving around picking up parts." (There were no parts!). 25 minutes later ****** was done. He simply scooped up the earth in and around the small pool of water, and placed the stones around the outlet. Over the following few days, I reported that no water was leaving the pipe. I was told that it would take time to flow. A few more calls, and ******* informed me that the water is below ground and that's okay. But isnt that a code violation? Or is the pipe blocked and the water is backing up? Since the original installation was, according to Wentzels own people, not done properly, I expected ******* to make this minor correction at no cost. Despite Wentzels claim that my wife had agreed to an (unspecified) charge, no new charges were ever discussed or agreed to. "Shes a liar!" ******* snapped, and billed me for $275. The invoice reads: "Repipe drain line to reroute from pavers. 2.5 Hour Labor." The work described was never done! Then an email: "Failure to pay the entire balance due (by 5:00 pm today) will void any remaining warranty on your HVAC system. Also if the entire balance due is not paid in full, your account will be sent to collections." Is ******* hustling two old people (Im 90 and my wife is 81)? Sad that a local company would do that.
