Outstanding service and communication. We are on year 2 and besides being 1/2 as much as the other services they are always here and if something happens we get a notification. Customer service is sub par and the billing system is a joke. If you happen to miss payment, they charge a late fee. And if you refuse to pay the late fee, they charge a "late fee" on the late fee. Zero empathy for challenges to consumers with rising costs. I totally understand their need to increase the cost of their services. But a Late Fee on a late fee??? Then they suspend service without notification for failure to pay the Late Fee late fees . Unfortunately they know they're pretty much the only game in town since they, and one other company, have eaten up the smaller, local service providers.Whitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Kate, unfortunately as reviewed with our team, the statements are due by the first of the month for the start of the quarter. In reviewing the account, each quarter payment has arrived late. We removed late fees for all of 2021 and 2022 and part of 2023. To assist in getting the account fully up to date, we have removed the additional late fees that have accrued however this will be the last time we are able to do so. Moving forward, please ensure payments are received on or before the due date. The next statement will be due by May 1st.Review from Elizabeth C

I have scheduled with them 6 times to pick up my Christmas tree. It has been six weeks and it's still sitting on my curb. Terrible service. They lied and told me they picked it up already. Terrible serviceWhitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Laura, we do apologize for the delay in collecting the scheduled Christmas tree. This pickups is being completed at no charge, unfortunately due to the weather events experienced last week, we have been operating on a delay and actively getting our collections back on track this week. The tree is scheduled to be removed as soon as possible and our team will continue to stay in contact and confirm this has been completed.Review from Kevin B

Horrible service and even worse customer service. They've just started collecting in my area this year. They've already missed 2 of 3 collections. I call and they tell me they will send someone that day or the next. I leave my cans out and they are there until the next collection day a week later and then the miss them again.Whitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Kevin, we are very sorry to hear about these reported issues. We currently perform over 250,000 residential trash and recycle collections per week of which 99.8% are completed successfully, on time and without issue. We are continuously working to improve our services with a goal of 0 reported service challenges. Our team has actively investigated this issue, confirmed pickup has been completed and put a resolution in place. Their billing department is substandard. They claim they have sent bills for an entire year, but no paper, email, text or phone call has been made to my address, email or phone. The only email received was last week stating to put the can out at the curb, nothing about my service being canceled. Why would I think it was cancelled, they have been picking it up weekly! They canceled my service and sent the balance to collections without notification. The collection company states this is their modus operandi. There is no "manager" of the billing department to speak to and was referred to the collection company. 2 or 3 years ago my card was compromised and my payment did not go through, I received a phone call and payment was updated - great customer service - at least then! It seems their review ratings have declined in the past 2-3 years. Looking for a new hauler.Whitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Victoria, we are very sorry to hear this. In reviewing the account, we do show that we had reached out and spoken to someone in the household in October of 2022 regarding a past due balance and the card on file not going through. We then followed up in April of 2023 regarding this as well. Monthly statements were being printed and mailed to the address on file in addition. Unfortunately, as we were not able to resolve the past due balance issue in over 1 year, this account was sent to collections. While we understand challenges our customers might face from time to time, it is very important they reach out and communicate with us so we may work together toward a resolution.Review from Michelle M

Just an FYI. If they don’t pick up your trash. You must call them within 24 hours. If you don’t, they won’t adjust your bill. Also, like me. My pickup is on Friday. I assumed to call on Monday. Michelle, we are very sorry to hear there was a service challenge this past week. Our team is actively investigating this however we do ask that any services are reported within 24 hours of your service day so we can ensure a recovery truck is able to be sent out. We do our best to keep all policies current on our website: ********************************************** Unfortunately it does appear that the issue with service was that windows were placed out for pickup and unfortunately these are not items we can take due to safety concerns with glass. I live in a moderately rural area, and have been here for over 3 decades. We've used - I think 5 trash services over the years. There had been a small local service, which in terms of service was the best, but they sold out to a huge service and it became terrible. So I'd put Whitetail as the second best service we've ever had, This is the first time since recycling was instituted that we have weekly recycling. Prior to Whitetail the best service we could find was every two weeks... from multiple companies... that charged more. Whitetail does occasionally miss a pick-up, but we actually hada provider that I had to call almost monthly for a missed pickup. So two missed pick-ups in over 3 years is okay by me. But I do take it on myself to notify them. My biggest complaint was that they, like lots of other- eveythings, won't believe that they missed the entire road (which is a small road with about 5 customers) unless each customer calls to report a missed pick up, and I think they've made a note of that. (As I said, that's universal... we had electric work done along the road and they cut the tv/internet cable, and Comcast would not believe it wasn't just an isolated event at our house based on a phone call, until everyone called.) All in all, I'h very happy with their service, and with the cost (which yes, does go up.)Whitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Don't use. They pick up once a week and will not take extra bags if they do not fit in the trash can.....not even one extra hefty bag. I can't cancel quick enough!!!Whitetail Disposal Incorporated Response

Michael, we are very sorry to hear you may have experienced an issue with a service collection. Included with our standard residential service, we can collect up to 3 extra kitchen bags next to the can (approx. 20 pounds or less per bag) or 1 contractor bag. These must be able to be picked up by one person and if there would be more than (3) kitchen or (1) contractor bag, we ask that these scheduled with our team in advance and there may be additional charges. I do see that at the last pickup, there were 5 bags out for collection that were not scheduled with our team. We can certainly assist in removing these however we do need to have these scheduled with our team.Review from Chris G

Chris, thank you for reaching out. I do see that we have spoken to you regarding setting up the new service on site however we have not received any reports of concerns after service. We do ask all customers to ensure their trash is placed in bags prior to putting it in the can to help reduce any potential service issues or windblown items. We will be investigating this report however please feel free to reach out to us directly as well with any concerns that may arise so we can reply more promptly.
