I had a slow running drain. All the drains in my house were slow. They sent Jim. After running an electric snake down the outside sewer line, the drains were better but still not draining properly. He said he could do a drain clean out in each drain inside the house. At a cost of approximately $250-$300 per drain. When I refused that, he proceeded to tell me I had a bad filler valve in my toilet, and that was the cause of my problems. At a cost of around $200. I stated that I had no problems with the toilet up until then. I would look into that at another time. He left and I went into my bathroom to clean up after him. I found the lid on the toilet still off, and the tank overflowing. There is water all over the floor and under the walI into the closet on the other side of the wall. I shut the water off and checked the operation of the filler valve. Which was working properly. He had adjusted it so it would overfill and keep running. I readjusted it and it works fine. He maliciously and with intent to do damage misadjusted the valve. He also went into another room in my house and opened the closet and started removing things in there without asking or telling me he was doing so. (To gain access to the back of the bathtub). I found this out about an hour later when I went into that room for another reason. This man is a fraud and a crook! As a former service technician, I try to give a service person space to do their job, and not follow them around. He is the reason people don’t trust service providers.

Total Plumbing was dispatched by HomeServe under a HotWater Service/Replacement program by HomeServe. 10 year old GE Hot water heater developed a small leak. Total plumbing gave an estimate of $2,485 to replace. This may have included a separate gas valve for the to be installed water heater. Estimate is extremely high and suspect. I called HomeServe who looked at the submitted price by Total Plumbing for the new Bradford White 40 Gallon heater which was $1,900. This is extortion by HomeServe/Total Plumbing and possibly fraudulent. Residents are Senior citizens and one a Disabled Vietnam War vet. The work/price was not accepted. New (Rheam) hot water heater was purchased and installed by one of the children for $500. I understand not everyone may have this option, but for those that don't, it seems to me that $2,485 is an outrageous amount for a simple 2 hour job. And especially so, and morally bankrupt, to do that to those on a fixed income. Shame on Total Plumbing, and HomeServe who sanction this type of price gouging.

Total Plumbing was out to fix our cracked in door sewer line and a broken water turn-off valve. They did a great job. Both technicians we worked with Dave and Antonio were AWESOME! they new exactly what need to be done and were great to work with. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing problems.
