      Scam... repeatedly disconnect my call after trying to retrieve refund for alert system.. Wrongly purchased from spouse was not fluently in English. She was trick into providing credit info. Thank God it was credit not cash which I could easily stopped payment.The company was not honest and true Stay away

      First they tried to charge me almost ****** dollars because they said they had not got the device back.it was sent by registered mail with tracking. I knew they got it back because the number I had to tracking said they got it back Now they want me to pay them 77 dollars because they didn't give me credit for me sending f it back until they got good and ready to give credit.i don't owe them nothing. They are just crooked

      Our service terminations take place the same day the leased equipment is received at our office. Although service plans can be paid for in advance, Alert1 does offer prorated service cost at the time of termination.

      Fraudulent practices. My dad signed up for a medical alert monitoring and was told could cancel at anytime. He received the system and within a couple of days the equipment started to malfunction. It would send out alerts to the company day and night causing them to call and sending out the fire department twice. Within one month he decided it just was not going to work for his needs and we call to cancel the service. He had payed for the year in full, the salesperson of course did not mention that they would keep half of his money if canceled. All he said was that you could cancel for a full refund. We cancel within the first 30 days and they still kept half of the money’s paid. Please be careful, if you do sign up with them do not pay the full amount upfront. They will shamelessly keep money for service they did not provide

      I was in the process of ordering this item. There was an order, review and complete page. I was still on the review page. I did not check the box for auto bill, I did not check the box for acceptance of terms and privacy. I did click on terms to see what they were where they again said they would annually charge my card. i would not accept. In the meantime, an email popped up saying I was a member. I called and spoke to Avery and she assured me the order did not go through. Later that day, another email popped up saying my device was being prepared for shipment. I called Avery again and she passed me on the member services...Um, Im not a member....They a man said there were other billing options, I said I would not agree to the terms, I did not complete the order and I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. I sent an email to the delivery email, not to send it, we didn't order it and we would refuse it. 50/50 chance they will send it. I never completed the order. I could not get past their terms so I abandoned the sale. Once they had my credit card number, they took it upon themselves to finish the transaction. Now I get extra spam mail as they must have shared my info....

      Mother almost died when device did not work, and now she’s in assistant, living home! Tried to cancel many times without success! They kept taking money out of my account long after equipment was returned! Had to file a reversal through the bank and cancel my credit card. Worst company to deal with.

      AM IRATE!!!!! I can’t believe your company is too cheap to have just ONE LIVE PERSON on call to resolve technical issues that don’t always happen at your convenience. Malfunctions don’t all happen between 9 am and 8 pm Mon-Fri and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. My ?? circle is red instead of green which means LOW internal battery. UPDATE: Base unit was determined defective on 7-3- 2024. Awaiting another box with prepaid sticker. This is my SECOND return in 1 month. If you turn your base unit over, there are 3 mystery buttons that Customer Service can’t explain. You will be thrilled to learn your unit was made in TAIWAN!! My red ?? has been on periodically since I got my latest unit. The icing on the cake came when I learned I could communicate via text to someone for $4.95 if your problem arose outside of office hours. OLD PEOPLE DO NOT TEXT!!!!       I feel the website and sales team are misleading. I ended up "purchasing" a $179 useless wrist band. They don't refund ANY portion, even if cancelled within a week of receipt. Very dissatisfied with treatment of an elderly person.

      Terrible Co. My mother passed away on Dec. 31 & alert 1 was canceled. But they put another year on her credit card & refused to refund the credit card charge of $335.50 I would not recommend this Co. to anyone. Not an honorable company. Even with the proper paperwork, they would not refund the cc account. They said they would credit the alert 1 account even know I returned the equipment and no longer have an account. They bill 1 year in advance. What good is credit to an account that no longer exists?

      We cancelled our account with Alert 1 Medical alert on June 25 after they charged me 78.95 we asked for the refund but they said that because we were on a monthly payment plan we would not receive a refund., we sent back the equipment and they received it on July 1st. Then on July 25th they charged me 48.95, because they said that my wife's account was still opened,but why would we send both items m s back and they assumed we whated to leave her account open?, We try since the 25th of July to get them to look at the Billing part of account but their system was down.

      On Aug 5 2022, Alert 1 Customer service Rep/Accounting Services Nicole ,was great on the phone and reversed the charges that Alert 1 had made. And refunded the 78.95 for June's charge and also refunded the 48.95 July charge. We were very happy with those results.

      Alert1 had a good review in an online article, so I paid for a 3-year subscription ($1310.00) for the "go-anywhere" device. I found the service poor (take forever to respond to a call) and spotty, even where cell phones work so the device should. Also discovered that "go anywhere" is worthless if you need help but cannot verbally provide the operator with a precise location - as when having a stroke. I called the company and asked to upgrade my device to one with GPS and fall detection, assuring I intended to pay the increased cost going forward. I was told a supervisor would call me. None did. Frustrated with the lack of service and needing a GPS device ASAP, I bought one from a different company. I then called to cancel Alert1 and was told I would receive a pro-rated refund for the remaining 19 months when Alert1 received the returned device. Tracking showed the company received it, at my expense with all accessories and in its original packaging, on March 8. I have still not received a refund.
