Beware dealing with ****, run around, lies, completely misleading. Ordered a piece of furniture to be delivered in home. Payed additional $70 for at home delivery. Waited 2 weeks for delivery, received multiple confirmations, then was directly contacted by the delivery the day before and day of promised delivery date. No delivery was made on the date and time promised (Monday 9/16 3pm to 7pm) their records show that the "Customer Refused Delivery" at about 8:00 pm. I was not contacted nor was a delivery attempted. I called **** and they told me I would be rescheduled for 2 days later (Wednesday 9/18) Then the shipping company called me to inform me that they actual reason they couldn't deliver is they had an issue with the truck (Lie #1); this was after they told me I had refused delivery and I had to insist this wasn't true (Lie #2). The following day I received a confirmation from the delivery company. that I would actually receive my package in an additional 10 days (Sunday 9/29), I called **** and they had no record of telling me I was set up for the Wednesday delivery (Lie #3). During that call the representative left me on hold for 25 minutes, to call the delivery company, he then comes on the phone to inform me that they delivery company doesn't even have my package (Lie #4) and that the 9/29 delivery is the soonest possible. I have canceled my order and demanded a full refund. This is unacceptable and I will not be buying anything from this company.Review from arezoo m

I put my order on 24th of August and **** gave me a delivery schedule on 3rd of September. On 26 of August I called them and informed them that I needed to receive my order on 3rd a recently moved to new place and I needed my mattress and futon to sleep, and all other living stuff was included in my order.They did not send me my request on the 3rd and did not notify me. They rescheduled it for 5th and again, same scenario not even single call, an email for TEXT message regarding the delayed delivery.Although on 4th of September, I followed **** and the delivery company in 3 ways to call that my order would be available on 5th!After 5th rescheduled it for 11th and on 11th the same scenario happened and this time they did not even provide me with a delivery date.I explained to every agent that I pay rent, but I don't have living stuff and I have to pay another rent for a place to stay. **** put me in a very bad situation, but they were not even willing to deliver the best customer service. I asked for the supervisor or manager to call to just hear me. They did not even care about my situation.IKEA US, LLC Response

Be aware! **** furniture. The shipment has missing part, it is tough to sit on. Compare to showroom sample. It is deceiving, decided to return it. **** asked pick up fee $69. And said only store credit will be given. Paid the pick up fee and **** pick up truck, never showed up. It was a dragged on struggle for weeks. Finally we can not take it anymore paid a delivery company $450 dollars to return to *********** Hicksville store and got refunded to original credit card. With this purchase, we lost $450 delivery fee to our own hired delivery company. And weeks of endless communication with **** customer service. With customer service fake promises and never can be kept. It was totally nightmare. Will never buy furniture with **** again.IKEA US, LLC Response

The transporters called **** to report that no one was available for pickup. **** contacted you via email on 08/01/2024, 08/02/2024 and 08/05/2024. Got an email that a bed was in stock again at *********, ordered the bed and paid for it and delivery, booked delivery based on their calendar 26 days later, they then cancelled telling me it was not in stick. They held on to my money without a product for 26 days and now it will take another 5-7 days to get this money refunded. That is them taking my money for over a month without a product. They also have no idea when the product will be available at this time. No business should be allowed to hold on to someone's money for over a month without having the stock. I got a confirmation for the sale that I purchased the bed and took my money. The customer service person told me it was their policy to do this and that they oversell product versus allocating the product. Not cool.IKEA US, LLC Response

When an order is placed online, payment is taken at checkout. Your items aren't actually picked until we get close to the delivery date of your choice. If the item is then out of stock when we go to pick the order, this can occur. Once a refund is initiated, the standard turn around time is about 5-7 days depending on your financial institution.Review from Ceyda S

On 8/24/2024 I bought this bedspread article # ******** from **** PARAMUS store in ***On the same day after I opened the package I noticed it is defective and has an hole on it. Same day I chatted Ikea customer representative online and after he checked items photos and details which I sent via chatbox he gaved me %40 discount and wanted me to send the pictures again under case #******** to the email addresses he shared and mentioned that refund will be taking place in couple of business days.I sent all the details to those email addresses and was waiting for my refund but today another customer representative from Paramus store called me and told me that they can only offer %25 discount or want me go all the way back to the store to return it. I mentioned the amount which was already offered to me and shared my conversation transcript with the online representative but they didt do anything more.There is miss communication between **** employees and they provide wrong information.Now I have to go all the way back to return this item!!IKEA US, LLC Response

After driving 3 hours round trip to make an IKEA purchase at *** we arrived home only to discover a basic 4 bolt assembly for a chair was not possible due to a manufacturing defect. Calls to customer service were abysmal. They do not want to help. I was hung up on twice. I was told I was sent emails requesting photos which I never received. The closed the file because I never replied to the email that I never received. After finally sending photos through customer service the store would not process a return or exchange. My only option is to return in person to show the defect. **************** specialist told me that because it was an in store purchase those decisions are made in store. So even though customer service clearly understands the problem the file is determined in store. I was asked to resend photos and when I did the message I received was we cannot receive your email because our inbox is full. What a horrible experience. I will not be exchanging the chair I will be requesting a full refund and take the money somewhere else.IKEA US, LLC Response

Horrible experience with my order return. Originally scheduled on 7/13 which did not work out because bed was not dissembled- however the customer support suggested me to keep bed assemble when picked up. Wrong information. Pickup then reschedule TWICE on 7/26 and 7/30. NOBODY came to pickup. No email or text confirmation. Customer support call was NOT helpful. Id like to file a formal complaint.IKEA US, LLC Response

If I could, I would give ZERO stars. I ordered a mattress and a bed frame. The mattress was too big (queen) for the bed frame. **** told me they were scheduling a pick up on July 11, 2024 to pick up the mattress and nobody showed up. Then I called and was told the order for pick up was placed but never processed so they had to reschedule for July 27 between 11am to 3pm. It is past 3pm and no show. I called Ikea and was transferred to the escalation department. She put me on hold for 5 minutes after taking my order number to come back and ask for my name and number. I told her I was very upset to how **** treat their customers and she was like "ok". I also said I would file a complaint and she said "that's fine". I regret getting furniture from them and I DONT RECOMMEND IKEA AT ALL!!! Very rude and didn't offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I scheduled a time to pick up a bed at the ******, ** location after ordering it online, but it was out of stock when I got there. Why would they allow me to schedule a time to pick up a bed that they didn't even have in stock? That is asinine. Speaking of asinine, this gets even worse...I was told that a refund would be processed for the bed, but I had also purchased the wooden slats and a couple of metal pieces that also went with the bed. I informed the agent that I don't need those products anymore since I am not purchasing the bed, and that I wanted a refund. She then told me I had to go stand in a very long line to return the products THAT I NEVER TOOK POSSESSION OF. I asked for a manager, who said he would process a refund, and then walked me over to the return line. I told him I am not standing in line to get a refund after I already showed up to pick up a bed that wasn't in stock. He then said that he would process the refund for me, and he took the products behind the counter. I left. My wife then got an email stating that a refund could not be processed unless we returned the products (THAT I NEVER TOOK POSESSION OF) to the store. Ultimately, I was able to call in to customer service and get a refund started (they said it could take up to 14 days for it to show up, so I am crossing my fingers that y'all aren't going to s**** me over again). The complete lack of integrity in a MANAGER at this store is unbelievable. He lied to me about processing a refund and apparently lied even more by claiming that I took possession of the products. Nedless to say, we weill NEVER purchase another product from IKEA again. We were actually replacing a bed for our son that we had previously purchased from IKEA, and we have purchased MANY products from them over the years. There are too many other affordable furniture stores around here to give my hard earned money to a company that would hire a MANAGER with a complete lack of integrity.IKEA US, LLC Response

It sounds like you placed the click and collect order (which doesn't reserve items) and when they went to pick your order the item was out of stock. We request with click and collect orders not to head to the store until we contact you to let you know the order is ready.
