      I recently purchased a vehicle. My one requirement was it needed to be out the door for $25,000, including all fees. Nothing went right during the purchase. At one point the salesman from Koons Toyota told me that they had a 2024 Camry, but it was high mileage. It comes with a 10 year warranty he says. I asked again if it was “OUT THE DOOR” for $25,000, a deal breaker as I told all vendors. He confirmed it was. I asked that ALL paperwork be done when I arrived as I would have a rough drive home. The salesmen also played up the 10 year warranty. As I had no vehicle, and I was in Richmond, I had to piece together a way there. I took an Uber from my house to the bus station, a bus to the Metro, Metro to the nearest stop, and walked in the pouring rain to the dealership. When the salesman finally presented the paperwork, (after an hour) the car was $27,000. I argued that we had an agreement for $25,000 out the door and he said “Well that doesn’t include whatever necessary fees.” I said he understood what we agreed to and he duped me. Again, he promoted the warranty. I proceeded to finance to finish the paperwork. I stupidly signed many documents just trying to get out of there, with the wrong carpets and a damaged USB receptacle. As an aside, on the way home, the car next to me and about 5 feet ahead crashed into the Jersey barrier and split apart. I planned to pay off the car immediately: but I had to set up a financial account. Why, I don’t know. When the bill came in, I set it aside knowing I would be paying it off. When the time came, I looked at the bill. Over $34,000!! $7000 more than I committed to. It was then I found out that four warranties had been added to my account!

      Changed interest rate AFTER sale is the car. After an accident I needed a car replacement FAST I had a sizable settlement from insurance stressed I needed payments low. I was provided a great interest rate and monthly payment. After terrible customer service I left with car. 48 hours later called and told I must bring car back sign new paperwork with new finance company. I’m injured the rental car grace period was over I was a captive customer - they told me if I didn’t resign they would take the car … my kid goes to school an hour both ways from my house and I needed the car did work and therapy I’ve asked 3 times for them to provide me with denial statement from first finance company and an itemized outline of why I had to go work 2nd lender . No response. I’m only here to try and get a response from them if they answered me I would have no reason to be here

      They prey on not giving all the information. Not only did they add 1000 dollars to my total cost for the addition of a "coating" without my knowledge so now I am stuck paying for that. But they failed to inspect my car before sale and the roof leaks on rainy days. When I contacted about the problem, they said it will cost 400 dollars just for them to bring in "their guy" and that it was a common known issue, that he was familiar with, with his 20+ years of experience. Yet they didn't seem to check for it when the vehicle was sold. The issue occurred shortly after purchase, and in attempts to resolve it I am just ignored.

      Amongst the list of complaints I have about them, the most egregious would be this: They TRIED to charge me 4.30% VIRGINIA SALES TAX instead of the 4.15% VIRGINIA VEHICLE SALES TAX. I notified the salesman MASOOD about this, and he never changed it on the vehicle bill of sale. This is not legal. If you are planning to buy a car from them, know that the VEHICLE SALES TAX is 4.15% and that to compute it, you have to do this: 1.) Find the vehicle sale price, usually at the top of the bill of sale 2. ADD the vehicle sale price to the dealer processing fee, which is $899 3.) MULTIPLY the vehicle sale price, and the dealer processing fee, by 0.0415 TO SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME, ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, DO NOT DO TAXES, TITLING AND REGISTRATION WITH THEM. They add a lot of small fees inside the taxes, titling and registration that is higher than what Virginia charges and is stated by the DMV. Moral of the story: IF you are the type of person who refuses to get overcharged even a dollar for the vehicle, you will have to fight an uphill battle and calculate every single penny on final bill of sale BEFORE SIGNING. It's not about the money so much as it is the principle. So what if it's only $50 or $100 difference, it's not right for them to charge more than they are supposed to.

      They are the epitome of sleazy, dishonest used car people. This dealer over charged my naive young daughter by about $15,000 for a used SUV (Kelly Blue Book and Carfax price comparison). She went to this dealership on her own, without any parental guidance and they totally took advantage of her. Instead of treating her with respect they did the opposite and disrespected her. They are nothing more than vultures and predators and should be avoided at all costs. ZERO STARS !!!

      I'm a handicapped person who has a Toyota Sienna van. I religiously took it to Koons Toyota Tysons for service. I even bought their service plan for 3 years. Everytime I went they would delay and I will have to wait for hours in my wheelchair. They will do unnecessary service (example 24000 mile service when the van had only 17000 miles etc) because I don't drive the vehicle often and it has/had only low mileage. I haven't driven the van much during this Covid time, and so I was curious what service was done when and what my service history showed. So I call them to ask. The guy who took the call (after the usual wait :( was arrogant and kept telling me that no major service done except for oil change. When I told him my experience of bringing the van multiple times, he said he is going to put me on hold. He came back on the line after 4 minutes and 8 asked him to transfer me to the manager and he said that's not necessary and disconnected me. This is deplorable. Looks like they don't keep records of the service done though they were happy to take money from a disabled guy. This is not the place to take your car for reliable & competent service. I hope someone investigates them.

      Horrible customer service! Dealing with a bunch of rip-off artists! Pushy, without too much of a selection! These people are very shady! They tell you one thing at first, then come back and lie as if they think you're stupid. If you are going to buy a car from here trust me you will have a lot of headaches and they will play on your nerves. They don't care about your budget they don't care about you, the only thing is just to sell the car the same day and take your money. I bought a car from them 2 months ago and I am still driving my car without my license plate because they called and told me that they need additional information after 1 month of purchasing the car, and they were blaming me because I have missed information. It is because of them I am driving without my license plate for 2 months and they don't care. On the first day, they will be so nice to you the second day they won't listen to you! Service people are not professional, I booked a service for my car 2 weeks ago and today I received a call saying that another co-worker gave me wrong information and won't take my car, they even don't know what they are doing. Please be aware of them, if you want to have headaches the go-ahead and purchase a car from them, good luck!

      Went to buy a $28000 car with a $7000 trade in value. The final loan numbers came out to $27000 basically giving me $1000 for the trade in in actuality. This was done by the finance manager there, Tonci K*****. He actively tried to get me into a loan which was unethical business practice. This is a very large and high volume dealership and Tonci K***** still tried taking advantage. For unsuspecting customers, please beware of this dealership. They are also marking up cars from MSRP sticker prices at the moment but that is likely due to short supply because of COVID. Tonci K***** still should be ashamed of himself as a finance manager.

      Koons of Annapolis and Koons of Tysons have the same exact vehicle (vin and stock number) on their respective sites. Annapolis lists it as their car at their store for the correct MSRP but when you call them they say its not their car and to go to Tysons to get it. I inquire about the car at Tysons and they offer a price $6000 higher than the stock number (identical vehicle) is listed on the Koons website. The management is perfectly ok with this and the sales rep told me this happens all the time. They even quickly lowered the price $3000 which is still a huge upcharge for literally nothing. They even still charge a dealer fee after the fact. This is blatant false advertisement. Unethical business practices like this should not be allowed.

      The service department in Easton, MD is uncoordinated, most of the staff is rude and the service manager, Anthony, is combative. He makes excuses for everything and even tries to place blame on the customer. He doesn't take any accountability for himself or his staff for any of the issues that occur in the slightest. This place used to be great and has gone downhill is a hurry. Three services ago the pick up driver nearly hit my house because he didn't know how to drive a manual transmission. Then my car was returned with a damaged tire and my tires had not been rotated. The next service appointment they had my vehicle all day and once again my tires were not rotated. This time (due to my work schedule) arrangements were kindly made (a week in advance) for me to drop my car off early and I was going to have a driver take me to work and pick me up. When I arrived nearly 8 people were milling about and I was rudely told I would have to wait b/c there was no one to drive me. I explained that there was an arrangement made and I had to be at work. It seemed as though I was dismissed and I was extremely frustrated so I began to leave. I was followed quickly by a driver who took me to work. About 20 minutes before I get off work I still haven't heard from them so I call and they are unaware I need a ride back to them. They assumed I had a ride back. Though I had arranged that I would need a pick up. The pick up driver was terse and silent. When I saw my car it appeared the tires were not rotated. Circle back to the Service manager who assures me they were. All I have is his word. However, he has demonstrated to be that he embraces a culture of chaos, blame and distrust. I have heard from the mouths of his own employees that it is terrible working there. So now I've paid for a service agreement I do not trust is being completed. I am treated like the enemy and I am already on edge and ready to "do battle" on my own behalf every time I make an appointment. How does this go forward?
