In early December of 2020 I took my 2017 Toyota Tacoma to Red's Auto Glass for a windshield replacement. They were a preferred business that *********** ********* recommended and I also noted that they were a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.The windshield was replaced and I picked up the truck the same day. Upon picking up the truck and driving it home I noticed several paint chips along the hood (closest to the windshield). It was as if the technician had pried the new windshield in or the old windshield out and made contact with the hood in the process.There were approximately 6 chips along the hood and they were down to the steel. I contacted Red's and told them of the issue and the Owner, Jim told me to send him pictures. I did and I told him that I want to have Red's pay for damage.He said to get an estimate and send it to him. I got an estimate and sent it to Jim and haven't heard anything for a couple of months. I feel that Jim isn't taking this issue seriously.Business response

I have been in contact with this customer many times and I have agreed to send him payment for the damage. This was discussed on April 5th and I sent my bookkeeper a message to cut a check for that amount. After looking today that message somehow got missed and we are sending out payment today.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I recently received the full estimate amount for the repair cost from the business and now consider the issue resolved. After countless phone calls and several voice messages and emails the business never called back or ever followed up until now. They appeared to just hope that I would go away. This behavior & lack of communication is not what I expect from an accredited Better Business Bureau business. Thank you BBB for your help in finally getting this issue resolved.
