BEWARE OF YOUR BILLING, particularly if you are on ********* I had a 30 minute consult with only a PA, and two weeks later received a bill that was submitted to my insurance and ******** for $1,095.57, of which $700.39 was for a "nasal endoscopy" THAT WAS NEVER PERFORMED. The office visit alone, again only with a PA was for $395.18. If I had not called to question these charges all would have been paid for false claims submitted to my insurance and ********* I was told they would look into it and would call me back immediately with their findings, of course which they never did. I followed up only to find that they admitted falsely submitting those charges and a correction would be made. I can't comment on their professional medical services as I did not pursue further, but Advent appears to be more of a corporation than a medical service charging extremely high for services that may or may not have been preformed. Let's face it, all that advertising you hear and see has to get paid somehow! Reading through previous reviews overcharging for services not performed seems to be the norm.Review from Anthony O

Scam! I had endoscopic surgery last May and Im worse now with my breathing, sleeping and snoring than before! When I did the consultation I was ensured it would be at least 5 60% better but even immediately after the surgery in my post appointments they had to snip extra skin/tissue which they said was perfectly normal. When I asked to see the doctor that performed the surgery, he was never available. I plan to pursue legal actio.Review from Linda D

I had been to MANY Dr's previously & they all took scans which showed there was nothing wrong with me. I went to Advent & they were the first Dr's to actually use a scope to look into my nose. They did tell me they only had 1 clinic which would be in network for me - so I had no surprises when they told me how much the procedure would be. I have had the procedure & so far the results are GREAT! I would suggest Advent to anyone with breathing or snoring problems!Review from Matthew M

Advent is a scam! Dont make an appointment, its a total hustle and they dont tell you how much everything costs till your last appointment, I called my insurance company, BCBS and they said that Advent shouldnt be charging the amount that told me. I would like to join a law suit if anyone has started one.Review from Mike O

Advent Knows is a total rip off and I'm guessing they'll be out of business soon. They will bill you outrageous fees for services that don't do anything. Don't buy into their commercials . . you'll only get scammed. I suggest going any other place than Advent Knows because the only thing they "know" is how to bill you stupid amounts of money . . I've been burned. Can we get a class action lawsuit started? I'm giving a "1" star rating only because I can't give a "0" star rating.Review from MONICA K

This place is a rip off. They told me that they 'took' my insurance - then continued to explain that I would benefit from a Nasal Endoscopy and that my insurance may charge a small fee. I told them that I did not feel my sleep was poor, yet they registered me for a sleep study (that thankfully I cancelled). Then, they scheduled a C.T. scan. Right after the scan the Dr. came in and before talking to me about the scan, asked what I wanted to get out of this appointment. He said that he would like to see the sinus tubes 3x what they are now and that I should get balloon sinuplasty. He then sent me right to the next office to talk to the scheduler. Well, how strange it was that the scheduler already had all the costs and insurance approvals, etc. when I only got that C.T. scan just 15 minutes earlier. How strange that they would have already known what procedure I would need before I even got the scan or talked to the Dr. This place is a racket. I declined getting the procedure done because it would have been a few thousand dollars out of pocket. So now I have a bill for $881 and nothing to show for it. Don't believe the commercials - this place is just out for your money.

They quote you a price with insurance and out of pocket costs. They tell you that all follow-up is included in your procedure cost, until you get a bill for follow-up appointments that cost $1900.00 to look in your nose? Any other professional medical office includes all follow up in procedure, although because they "wash out" your nose and may get a small amount of blood, they call it "debridement" and charge ridiculous amounts of money and tell you it's an approved "code". Approved and ethical are two different things. This company upsells you like a bad salesman, then does not share the entire cost of the procedure. You will walk out thinking it's $70 and end up with a bill for $1000. Each person told you something different. I was asked how long I had been feeling tired and never said I did? Wrote things in notes to make sure they got paid when they entered their fake codes, so they could say I had those issues I never reported. Offer a mouth piece for snoring, but ONLY by their dentist, so they can charge every time they look at a rubber band that may have broke. I can change those for free and save many $$$. I was told they wanted me to come in to check for a TMJ "flare", although if you never had TMJ, why would I have a flare? I wonder if any of these people actually realize how unethical their practice is? Even the surgeon said he had all the nasal procedures I had done and did not notice much difference?!?!? So, just a practice to "code" and charge you and your insurance. Who knows if any of it works, but I say go to a real ENT through a real health care practice instead of these providers who just write things in their notes, so they can put a "code" in and charge you and your insurance. Save your money, time and frustration and go anywhere else.

Scam alert. It felt very rushed, unprofessional, just not right. They required so many appointments, then the scam at-home sleep study (I had 3 prior sleep studies from specialists at the hospital which proved I did not have sleep apnea.) Their study immediately showed sleep apnea. Three procedures were offered, insurance only covered one and that should've been a clue. After the "surgery" procedure in office I had multiple problems and had to keep going back for follow ups, which they billed all separately. Insurance only covered so much and then it was the new year, new deductible. Why weren't all the follow up appts part of the surgery protocol especially when it didn't go well. Four months later and still having issues, the procedure did NOT fix the snoring problem at all. I'm getting a second opinion from a real specialist and then may get our lawyer involved. Would NOT recommend this to anyone. Read reviews and research before you commit.

I had high hopes for breathing improvement with ADVENT. While I understand there are no guarantees in treatment success, I certainly didn't expect my sinuses to get worse after surgery. Now seeing a different ENT and will have to have another surgery.ADVENT is expensive, a mid five figure dollar amount billed to insurance before contract discounts.I felt that ADVENT milked the insurance company and myself with follow up visits at +$1800 each all being billed as a surgical procedure because they used a scope for a 5 minute exam of my sinuses. Very disappointed with the outcome and the money spent. I feel like ADVENT is run like a franchise business trying to make as much profit as possible by pushing the maximum allowable charges for procedures.
