I purchased a vehicle from Homan at the end of August/ early September. Before we even purchased the vehicle, we asked about the tires because they looked worn out. We were ensured that they were just "performance tires" and they're supposed to look like that. Not even a month later, we took the vehicle to a dealer who specializes in this type of car, and come to find out the wires in the tires are showing because they were so worn down. We ended up needing to get tires on the vehicle ASAP, because it was so unsafe to drive. The tires for the vehicle ended up being around $1,200-- but they should have been replaced by the company before we even purchased the vehicle or negotiated in to the price. We purchased from this dealer because we wanted to support a local business, but now it seems as though this company is not very trustworthy in what they tell you about the vehicle you could potentially be purchasing.We also needed to get the belt tensioner fixed on the vehicle, which wasn't making noise when we purchased the vehicle. However, after seeing how the company handled the tires, it leads me to believe that the company may have covered this issue with the belt up as well.Business response

********************* bought the *** in question on 8/24/2021. Based on our safety inspection on the vehicle and my recollection of the vehicle in person the tires had adequate tread life. ********* state law requires 2/32s tire tread, and our internal guideline for vehicles that we resell is for tires to have 4/32s or greater tread depth and no other concerning issues such as extensive weather checking. The customer has not contacted us in any fashion since she bought the vehicle, and as such we were not aware of the customers dissatisfaction and also did not have an opportunity to look at the vehicle, its tires, and if needed remedy the situation with her. Upon receipt of the BBB complaint we have attempted to contact the customer via phone call as well as text message. I did get a response from the customer today but she is out of town until next week and she will reach out to me at that time to touch base on her concern.

I have spoken with the customer (*********************) and we have resolved the issue. We reimbursed the customer for cost of tires due to excessive wear on the inner edge on one of the tires that we feel should have been caught in our inspection.Customer response
