I was quoted one price prior to my two daughters appointment. Upon arriving for the appointments was then told a higher price, bought their supplemental insurance as well. I paid the second quoted price with the purchased secondary insurance and then received an additional bill in the mail for $364.00. Either their billing department has no actual knowledge of cost or they raise their prices by the hour.Dental Associates Response

This Place is horrible don't you go don't send your kids either, These people the orthodontist put braces on my sons teeth almost 5yrs ago, and didn't clean them not 1yr of that time frame, then thru the yrs, they have had multiple doctors and a range of different people there come and go and they expect you to trust them, they can't keep no one employed there and no 1 wants to work there, you would definitely not see the same person. They treated me like nothing when I was going there then failed my 17yr old, by not cleaning his teeth, then was told he had a cavity, oh wow the audacity of this place, braces been paid for never an issue of that, that's usually what they defense is, but not today or any day.!! These people are so unprofessional and uneducated, they will tell you anything to get money, this place of business needs to go out of business because they are not reliable nor dependable to take care of your teeth. Then I complain to I guess was some type of Management, she researched then to tell me I was supposed to take him to a dental place that referred me, which is a lie, this was the only place I took him, the money you pay for braces but they aren't liable to clean patient teeth is absurd, Don't waste your time or your loved ones!!!!!Dental Associates Response

I had gone in for a yearly exam, cleaning and x-rays. I presented my medicare card and they took the information. The exam went well with no issues but was told that one of my fillings needed replacing. I came in the following week and the procedure went well. Once done a gentleman took my medicare card and I was told that my share was $170. I paid and all seemed done until I received a bill for $440 from them. I called and after getting hold of a customer service person they informed me that they had my old insurance on record and since I was no longer covered by them I owed the whole amount. I explained that I presented my medicare card (with a dental rider) and that both times I was there they took the information but apparently did nothing with it. I was told someone would call me back and the billing would be put on hold. The following week I received another bill and after numerous attempts to get hold of them I was told that a manager will look into it and call you back but with the plan you have we are not in your network. At no point did anyone ever call me back so I then called United Healthcare (insured) and told them what Dental Assoicates told me. With me on the line they called them and basically told them that I am completley covered and they are in my network. They woman at Dental Associates who was on the phone did not have any of insured information (account# & group #) even after presenting my card twice at both appointments. It seems their service is good but their billing is completley disorganized and the fact that they tried to bill me for something that was completely covered is beyond frustrating as they still could'nt get things right after I talked to them 5 separate times. It took the insurance company to call them and get it straight. Needless to say I will not be going back there. Disappointing to see such a large company continually screw up on their billing without using the correct information they were given.Dental Associates Response

I just had to have. A Bridge put in the front of my mouth I will admit when I first found out I was extremely unhappy and wrote a horrible review I was upset with everyone but now my attitude has changed and I am writing a good review because my experience was super. The temporary was a little disappointing but I called them to tweak it and they did I a very happy with permanent one hope it last for a long time when I first went in they said they couldn’t get me in until may 30 and I needed it done by may 29 because we were having family picture done so I was totally upset but with Katy’s help she made it happen had prep work done may 14 final stuff done on may 25 so it is all done for may 29. Katy goes above and beyond dr Murphy did a nice job and his assistants brittny did a great job matching the color of my teeth and his other assistant sorry forgot her name did a great job of helping assist putting in the final bridge. I had to write to apologize for my first review and tell u that it was all good now and everyone did fantastic. The first review was that I was upset that I had a cracked tooth and that no one found it because I had been there week prior. I wanted. Molar pulled they didn’t want to do that then they mentioned. Bridge and the price it all just hit me and made me very upset but once I got home got my molar pulled got my Bridge it is all good thank you all. Also dr.Schmidt and his assistant were so nice when they pulled my teethDental Associates Response

I was given a plan for the work that was needed , and my insurance company signed off on most of the work. I was prepared to pay the balance. After only part of the work was done, including extractions in the front, I was left hanging with gaps all over the place, including the front of my mouth, because at the last visit the dentist backed out of completing the planned work! Im stuck to find another dentist!BewareDental Associates Response

I’ve been a customer for years and I’ve never truly been happy there. I don’t know why I stayed so long. For starters—the Kenosha Pediactrics team— how utterly disgusting when my autistic child had to go there and be treated as if they didn’t have time for her, they didn’t have the patience to get her acclimated to her environment. They shouldn’t even be working with children. For 2: because of the issue at Kenosha I asked to NEVER be routed there. And what happened? An entire 3 times? The receptionists scheduling our appointments would put us in the Kenosha location. Issue#1. If I LIVE in Racine, why on earth would you schedule me in Kenosha and not tell me. Issue#2 because we weren’t told that, we would drive to the Sturtevant location just for them to tell us “Oh, no it’s actually in Kenosha”. Now for the final time. I scheduled all 3 of my children appointments On a Saturday morning. We show up and April(who is the kindest soul in there, I truly like her!) looks very confused to see us. Lo and behold. Our appointment was canceled and the scheduler said she left a voicemail. Cool beans. Did I confirm that I got that message? No. So she should’ve kept trying. Another issue is that my inbox is full— so there’s no possible way she left a voicemail!! I didn’t receive a follow up, an email, a text, no indication that our appointment was no longer. How disappointing to get up and get all 3 children ready (mind you i this was their spring break weekend and because this was the soonest we could get in, I chose this over a fun plan) and be turned away because the dentist had a change in schedule. I canceled an appointment because we had COVID and they sent me a letter that I had to pay for missing. When I didn’t. I called! Unbelievable. They’re so unprofessional there. They don’t verify or confirm information. They just get to write whatever they want in the notes without being held accountable for their actual jobs. They’ve wasted enough of my family’s time.Dental Associates Response

**** * - When I called for an appt I indicated I am retired and did they accept Humana medicare insurance. Reply "yes we do". Prior to my appointment I called & asked if the panoramic images were covered by my insurance. Reply "yes 100%". During my appt the hygienist asked if I wanted the fluoride treatment. I said only if it is included in the insurance. She checked and said "yes, no problem". When I received a $283.00 bill, I discovered Dental Associates is out of network. In Dec 2022 when we signed up for Humana, Dental Assoc & the dentist I was assigned to, was listed on the internet dental network directory. I don't know if this was a misprint or if they had been in network & discontinued. Staff did not know when I asked. Staff that I was in contact with were friendly, efficient & seemed extremely qualified. But I feel so disheartened & mislead. Dental Associates should have been honest up front.Dental Associates Response

I got ripped off on dentures. I begged family for money to get them. The dentures are terrible, very terrible. I would need super glue to keep the bottoms on. I'm poor and extremely sick and on disability. Well it cost me $5000 and it really really stresses me out.Review from James T.

I have been with DA for 20 years. In that time I have had almost ZERO problems with my teeth and I have been very fortunate for that. Now I finally have a dental emergency and I am in extreme pain most likely needing a root canal. I told my dentist that I would go to any clinic at any time to get this taken care of. Its now 2 weeks of excruciating pain sitting on some on call list like Im in need of an organ transplant. Meanwhile I cant eat, drink, or sleep due to the pain! They told me that the Dr is booked out for almost 2 months! How can anyone live like this?!?! How do they not keep room in a doctors schedule for emergencies? I have always said great things about my hygienist and the general dentists that Ive seen throughout the years.BUT THIS WAITING GAME IS NOTHING SHORT OF BS! I will definitely be changing insurance during open enrollment this year!
