    On 4/14/21, a pattern of complaints was detected for this business. Consumer complaints allege that floral arrangements that are purchased from their website are either not representative of what they ordered, they arrive late for the memorial service, are delivered to a place other than the memorial service, or are not delivered at all. Complaints also allege that when these issues occur, the business does not make a proactive effort to notify the paying consumer that there are issues with their orders. 

    Notifications were sent to Tribute Store on 4/14/21 and 5/6/21 regarding this pattern of complaint. To date, they have not responded to the BBB's request to address the issues presented in the pattern, and complaints pertaining to these same issues continue to be filed.

    When purchasing a product, especially if delivery is guaranteed, BBB advises that the consumer follow up to ensure a timely delivery occurred and that the product delivered was that which was purchased.

      Hello and thank you for reaching out to us. Please be aware that Tribute Archive is a different site, also owned by Tribute. All obituaries posted with our partnered funeral homes are mirrored on this site, and ************************* is one of them. However, we always appreciate family members' requests to remove the obituary listing if they choose to do so. As of this writing, we have deleted ********************************* obituary from the Tribute Archive website.

      I don't know if it's a ****** issue or Tribute Archive issue. When searching for deceased name, her picture and some details show up on Tribute ******.  I've attached screenshot and web address showing this. My family and I would like it removed completely. We never agreed to have her picture or any info posted online. Thank you

      I purchased a spray of flowers for my family. The decedent was ****************************, at the ***************************************** in ********************, **. and the card sent with the flowers should have read: From ******* and ******************************* (maiden name is ********. The card used was in my maiden name.) I spent $232.81 and the flowers were never received. All cards were collected for acknowledgements at a later date and there was no card for the flowers I sent and no sign of flowers. My sister has the same complaint.I want my money back. Can't believe they would scam grieving families.

      My fathers obituary was posted on their website. I did not give permission for this nor did the funeral home. This is the wrong version of the obituary that was taken down to add the correct one on to our funeral homes website. People are already seeing the wrong one and leaving tributes!

      My father passed away February 28, 2023. I purchased a memorial tree through this store to be planted and they said theyd get back with me when it was planted. I finally got an email in the month of October saying the coordinates were in ******* nearby where he lived and passed. My aunt went to see the tree where it was supposed to be planted and someone there said that tree is in Washington! I contacted the tribute store and told them this and they then said its in Michigan and gave me those coordinates and advised not to go see it as it might be dangerous to where its located to go walking!! I dont believe there ever was a tree planted. I waisted money for nothing. The site where my dads memorial is on is ******************************************************************************** and www.memorial tree.com is where I purchased to plant a tree. No one ever gave me pics of it either!!! I got scammed. Do not trust this place!

      Our forestry partner, ********************* work with their networks of planting partners throughout North America and trees are planted wherever reforestation is needed most at that time. We leave it up to our forestry experts and planting partners to decide where the needs are. While we are aware of the discrepancies of the planting location being sent in the email, we are doing our best to fix the issue. Upon checking on the order under the Purchaser name *******************, an email was already sent that indicates the right information where the tree in honor of ************************* was planted. Also, we do no recommend visit the physical location of the tree as it may be difficult to identify the tree and traverse the terrain without risk of an injury occurring.?In other circumstances, there may be accessible areas where rangers can direct visitors to our funded trees. Such locations will be noted on memorialtree.com where we continue to update the latest information and content to share all the progress from these loving tributes.       Their reply makes no sense. They emailed me NOT to go visit the tree but in the complaint response they advised to go visit?? Im really not getting it.

      Please accept our apologies for the previous response. We used the phrase "we do no" instead of "we do not." Also, we regret for the lack of some information, such as a photo and an accessible location. While the purchased memorial tree was already included in the batch that was already planted, please be aware that we have refunded the $46.90 in full to the same card that was used, ending in 5724. You should receive the funds within 3 to 5 business days. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

      Please know that the ******** Funeral Home has been contacted and the concern has been addressed and resolved. They were informed how Tribute Archive works and why obituary are showing in their but it has been taken down and no obituaries from the Funeral Home will show up moving forward.

      American Forests, our previous Forestry partner, works with their networks of planting partners across North America to plant trees in areas of highest need based. After an order is placed, we rely upon the expertise of our forestry partner to make planting decisions based on the areas of greatest need. There are many different factors that are considered when they select where trees are planted. Selecting the right tree and planting it in the right place at the right time of year are essential to ensuring your tree will thrive, especially once fully grown. They'll choose the tree species based on what grows best in that area and what benefits the environment the most. As a result, Tribute Store lacks the capability and control over where the tree will be planted. Outside of the planting maps/plans provided to us by our partners, we have no designations of specific tree locations in the past and as of this writing. We can inform which planting project the purchased will be included, but due to the vastness of these forests, it is hard to specify a single tree.

      This information is also available on FAQ's *********************************************** to our new partnership effective January 1, 2023 with ******************** , we will be discussing local outreach opportunities in communities of need. We are also working on developing additional souvenirs to honor the memorial tree initiative, such as engraved plaques, framed certificates, and other items.       Hello, Please know that complainant ****************** was contacted. All information has been verified, Obituary **** and website involved. It was explained that Tribute Archive is another platform owned by Tribute who also owned the website provider for the ************************************************************. Tribute Archive mirrors all obituary posted on all partnered Funeral Home but always respects the decision of the family of they wish to remove the Obituary from the Tribute Archive site. Plant a Tree button has been removed from the Funeral Home site and obituary was removed from Tribute Archive. Customer was informed and appreciate the action taken.

      6/27/2023 Ordered flowers for a funeral that is over 2 hours away and when i got the confirmation email the order had an extra $24.98 charged. They call it processing fees and ************* fee. No where does it say they are charging these fees! Then it says they have 24 hour customer service. i was on hold for over 2 hours trying to cancel the order and i was next in cue. I finally got a hold of someone that barely can speak English and supposedly canceled the order.

      This company copied the obituary and photo for my loved one that appeared (with my permission) on the funeral home's website. I did not give permission for Tribute to do this. To make it worse, they actually included my personal email address which doesn't appear in the original.

      If this business tried to contact me, I have no record of it. No, it's not in my spam folder and not in my phone's missed call list. Since the obit on Tribute was obviously condoned by the funeral home, my only option was to have the funeral home remove the obit from their own site. Within the hour, it was also erased from Tribute. 

      It was necessary to do this in order to remove my email address Tribute included with one of the photos in the obit. My email address didn't appear in the obit run by the funeral home. This was obviously an important privacy breach that should have been taken seriously and removed immediately after I pointed it out them in two emails to privacy@ as listed on Tribute's website. Truthfully, if this company paid attention, it would have been removed prior to posting rather than wait for a grieving family to point it out to them, be ignored, and leave it up to the family to resolve it.         

      The funeral home accepts no responsibility for Tribute although Tribute's website stipulates they "work" with funeral homes. 

      Erasing the obit from the funeral home's site means my brother's obituary no longer exists.  He died, and his obit died, too, and all because Tribute isn't in the business of of heart-felt memorials - it's in business to profit from sales of flowers and memorial trees. BBB's "F" rating clearly shows this company is not to be trusted.      

      The only resolution is to have the funeral home re-post it on their site. But how can I be sure it won't be copied on Tribute?
