Terrible experience with Kool View. Poor communication, unprofessional employees, extremely poor craftsmanship and just overall unacceptable work. We had to hire our own carpenter to fix their mistakes, experienced leaks 4 separate times, had additional expense due to Kool View incompetence and forgetting to contact the electrician during framing. The floor had to be re-secured because it wasn’t done right the first. I strongly recommend staying away from this company we now have to settle for and fix their poor work.

We had problems with this customer from the start. They wanted to put a gas fireplace in a three seasons room. When we told them at our pre-construction meeting that we could not get a building permit for three seasons room with a gas fireplace the wife started yelling at our manager. They finally settled for a code compliant electric fireplace. Then they did not pay a November invoice until January. We use those funds to pay the factory so the room could be manufactured. That delayed the project for over a month, The room was built in May 2022. Records show it rained in ******* 13 of 31 days that month. The room leaked because it was not finished. They decided to use their electrician instead one of our recommended electricians. The electrician had never worked in one of our rooms and had to come back because he did not wire the room to code. We took care of every item on the customers punch list and paid his handyman for work the they felt we could not do correctly. Finally they were upset that we would not credit them $15,000 off of the contract amount. We did give them a credit of over $4,000, even though we started and finished the room within our contracted dates and completed everything on the contract and on their punch list.

Typically I would not respond back to any comments but due to the fact that the author of response called out my wife I feel I have to address the issue. We certainly did inquire about a gas fireplace at the pre construction meeting but we were told it couldnt be done. The story told in the response is interesting because it was the employees who were doing the yelling at my wife when she asked a question. I had to come home from work and the owner of the company had to come to the house. We eventually had the workers removed from the job.
