We made arrangements with Four Seasons Landscape/*********************** to do work in our backyard-patio, retaining walls, pergola, fire pit. He emailed an estimate on May 21st and requested a $6000 deposit to proceed and secure a price on lumber. This was mailed to him but was not cashed right away. My husband contacted him sometime later and asked if he had received it as the check had not cleared. Shortly after that, the check was cashed. Originally he told us it would be at least mid-July for a time frame. That came and went. The end of July we attempted to call and his voicemail was full. We have sent emails, left voicemails, and my husband attempted to stop at the physical address-no one answered the door.It iss now the end of August, we are out $6000 (towards and estimated $28,000) project and are really frustrated. He has an A+ rating with the BBB and reviews online range from wonderful to similar to ours-no response. Any assistance is appreciated on how to proceed.Customer response

Here is our status.
On August 26, 2021, I called ***********************, the owner, on a friends phone thinking if it was a name other than mine on caller ID he might answer. And he did. I expressed concern that he had not returned any of our calls or email messages. He replied that he had been busy, late hours, etc. I asked what he planned to do as he has $6000 of our money. He responded that hed had emergent work due to flooding in the area but intended to do our project. He further shared that the lumber materials for our project are in his warehouse. I asked when he planned to schedule us and he indicated late September. We have not heard from him to date but intend to attempt a call this week yet as the end of September is fast approaching.
So, that is where we are. I would like to believe he will be true to his word-heres hoping!Customer response

Another update- the landscaper has now answered 3 additional calls. Although he did not meet the promised mid-July or late September promised times, he has indicated he will begin on our project next week. So, our fingers are crossed. At least he is responding (and we have been using our own phones!)Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I received a formal response and indicated that the complaint needs no further attention-they have done a great job, we are extremely satisfied with the work and it should be completed next week. I really dont want to pursue at this point! Once they began, it has been wonderful!( just a few months later, but we can easily live with it, given the end result!). Thanks so very much for your attention to this!

Please disregard this complaint. They finally arrived to do the wor early October and we are extremely pleased with the results. We have the desired outcome-a beautiful patio And could not be happier. They should complete the work next week. Thank you for looking into this, but no further action is needed.
