Met with Patricia yesterday to purchase a second pup. Prior to my arrival I was advised that the dogs were being discounted 50% in honor of Penny Lane's 50th anniversary. Unfortunately, trying to get a firm price from Pat is next to impossible. I repeatedly told her how much I had to spend and she kept telling me not to worry about it, we'd be able to work something out. However, each time price was mentioned about the sale of her dogs, it would get higher and higher. At first she said $800 and then it was $1000 and then $2500, all the way up to $5000. Since I paid $2100 for the dog I got from her two years ago, I only brought half the amount with me. And I told Pat more than once. Eventually, after two hours of hearing her stories; visiting with puppies and my telling her how much I could spend, I chose a pup from the options she gave me; fully believing that it would be 50% off or pretty close to $1000, based on what i had paid previously. As we prepared to finalize the sale, Pat brought the paperwork showing what her normal price would be ($3900) and told me she could sell the pup for $1800 plus tax and licensing (?). Nearly twice the amount that I told her I had! She suggested I could give her a post-dated check (or even a couple of them if I needed more time). Silly me, I thought it was clear about what I could spend. I left without a puppy and will no longer refer friends to her, nor will I be a return customer in the future.

Adopted our cocker spaniel from Penny Lane Cockers in Oct 2022. Highly recommend their puppies. Our cocker picked up all training very fast; the training the provided him prior to adoption was beneficial (chair training). He is very bright, listens well and a huge love to other animals. Only regret was not adopting two at the same time.

Bought a beautiful male purebred Covker Spaniel from Patricia. Pat and Nanny were easy to work with and thoroughly explained shits, and puppy needs. My puppy is very well behaved, excellent with Cats, and a little excited with children. He was three months old and potty trained. They are an intelligent breed quickly learned to walk by leash but gets stubborn because it’s a cold winter here so warm sweaters helps. Very friendly with other animals. Costs $2,900 but Patricia can work with you if need be to purchase your beloved new family member. Very healthy so far. Thank you! Pat Penny Lane
