I have talked to PeaceHealth several times over a billing code that they charged me for incorrectly. My insurance company sent them a check that they cashed in March of last year. They have made us send over several times all documentation including the checks that were cashed that they did check tracers on. PeaceHealth decided to turn me into collections recently. Even though we have tried several attempts and phone calls and faxes. The claim was from January they cashed the check in March and are still pursuing with collections.

      - I saw *************************** on 4/3/23 for vertigo and anxiety, asking for referral for one on one counseling - ****** states that one on one counseling should have a $30 copay, and that's it - I expressed to ****** that I needed counseling that would fall under this category. I had to pay 100% of the cost for an MRI within the couple of weeks prior to this visit and could not take on additional costs - ****** recommended a new collaborative program at PeaceHealth. I said as long as it was covered by the $30 copay, that I would be open to it. He did not explain anything further - I saw ************************* on 5/17, 5/31, and 6/21 for therapy, all one one one sessions - In early July, I noticed a charge for over $500 on my account. I called *** and asked for clarification - I have a voicemail from *** on 7/11 where she says the amount was exorbitant and that from what she saw, it should be a $30 copay, no deductible - I then spent the last month or so going back and forth with billing trying to get resolution. They say it's ******** fault, ****** says it's their fault. They never mentioned they billed under a code that was not the normal one one one visit.- After a phone call with PeaceHealth on 9/19, I finally got the billing code they used and discovered it is a code for ******************************* which is treated differently by ****** (deductible and copay). - I never asked for this special program and was very clear that I wanted one on one counseling covered by the $30 copay. This appears to be a special program that PeaceHealth developed with the sole intent of being able to bill under CPT Codes ***** and *****. They deceived me into thinking I was getting normal care and are now sticking me with a bill for $655.60. - They will not discuss this deception or why they never made it clear that this was a special program charged at higher rates.- I feel that I should only have to pay the $90 (3 copays) which I already paid. I should not have to pay the $655.60

I've been receiving calls on my phone for 4 months for the wrong account and text messages at 12 and 1 am for some guy named *****. I talked to the business and manager 5 times and still getting harassment. I told them this is not my bill or account and the manager and they won't stop the harassment . I saved the text and messages and I will *** them if they don't stop.

Peace Health medical group leaves a voicemail to call them to schedule a wellness visit. I call peace health and they told me they cannot schedule wellness visit until I verify insurance coverage. I have already been treated several times by Peace Health with my new Insurance several times over the last four months. If Peace Health wants my health insurance verified that's their job to do it not mine. Peace health needs to train their Med Aids to try harder

I was at the hospital and the doctor told me that he was going to fax a prescription to ******* pharmacy at 4550W11th Ave. *********************** he asked me what pharmacy. The prescription never was faxed. I called the hospital and asked why and could they fax it again, they told me that they were too busy and that they might be able to do it later, the nurse named ****** was really rude and I don't believe that is good business practice.

My sleep specialist signed me up for an at home sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea. I went to the hospital to pick up the materials for the sleep study, and a nurse took about 10 minutes to explain what I needed to do to perform the study that night. I then dropped off the materials the next morning. I was shocked to find that they had charged me over $500 for me to perform my own study. I messaged their billing department to tell them that this was exorbitant and predatory. They responded by simply stating that they could charge me whatever they want and that's that. Healthcare is supposed to help patients-not rip people off for don't basically nothing.

Hello- I am the assistant here at the Southwest Foundation and I am hoping to get this complaint filed to the right group. The Foundation is a separate non-profit than the Southwest Medical Center. After reading the complaint I believe this should be directed toward the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center as they provide care to patients. I apologize for the confusion.
