purchased 2012 audi a5 Quattro premium plus Vin waulfafrxca003961 on 1/17/2023. purchased for 14500+1334 tax+184.25 license+ 100 documentation fee. the check engine light was on, the al.ignment was off. they checked the codes and said it was an o2 sensor. when it came back on it was the turbo that had to be completly replaced. he said the allignment was from the road and tire pressure but on newly constructed road it still traveled to the right. I asked about the tires as I was unfamiliar with the short tires. he said they were in great shape. I was also told by audi dealership and tire rama that 3 of the tires were bad with low grade and dry rot. with all wheel drive you have to replace all 4 tires. in addition the rear differential was leaking, the front right light, dash light and tail lights did not work, the steering rack boot is split open on the front right side. and the oil plug needs replaced. in reviewing the carfax I also found that the vehicle history lists damaged on 1/11/21. it does not indicate what was damaged. looking through my paperwork from the dealer no disclosure of the damage was listed. I contacted several repair shops and was refered to audi each time because they did not work on audi and because they said the lights were an electrical issue. I have gotten the:rear differential leak 400 turbo ******* lights 28 lights diagnostics ****** removed by dealership turbo diagnostic ****** removed by dealership shop charge ***** + ***** = ******* I prepaid 600 I still need steering rack boot. 730 wheel/tires mount and balance 4 ******* allignment ****** ******* tax ****** = ******* totaling ******* the car + tax lisc ******** +work done ******* =******** I could have bought a new car for that. especially sense the car was listed as damaged on car fax. I want to return the car with a refund at ********. I would never buy a damaged car.

I am rejecting this response because:

While the carfax does say the audi may or may not have been in an accident it is still reporting damage. The damage is unknown and I believe is related to the issues I'm having. I can't believe after almost a year of having the audi that you did not notice vehicle lights not working. Lights on a car is a safety issue. I was pulled over by a police vehicle and this was explained to me. The tires have dry rot. This is also a safety issue and depending on how the vehicle was driven determines the tire wear. With the traditional life span of a turbo being ****** miles and the audi being at ***** miles, check engine light showing it was broken, it suggest it was driven hard. As a reminder your employee indicated the check engine light indicated o2 sensor. There is nothing wrong with the o2 sensor but instead reported the turbo. As far as ***************, I called 15 places. They do not service audi or there quotes where higher. I believe I got the best value for the repairs and that they were done correctly. I am willing to accept the cost of repairs. At **** plus the repairs that are needed **** totalling 6700.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
