Was very mistreated several employee of spoken Eye Clinic dr ordered me to have contacts. The technician denied me for contacts manager stepped in and got me contacts. Come back to have a review of those contacts and make sure they were working second. visit was a second technician that decides he wants to change my prescription so I cant read. He changes the prescription so I can see farsighted not up close trusting the technician I leave. I cannot read or clear enough to drive an automobile. I called the next day would like this matter to be fixed. They do not have the contact sample and they denied me of my contacts and Medical. They have dismiss me out of the network based on invalid reasoning of their own opinion. I have been mistreated by employee, as well as a supervisor of this medical clinic gaslighting and manipulation. And for them to put me in a situation where I cant drive and cant read up close an error on the medical field. Currently they have messed with my vision and my vision Health. the staff has gone over and beyond the opinion and prescription of a doctor.

I have never spoken to a billing department that talks over you and wont listen or reason. They are horrible! I have spoken to several people there and I always get a different amount that I owe and a different reason why. The real reason is they scheduled the wrong appointment. This shouldve been a vision appointment only, for a routine vision check. They took it upon themselves to make it medical, ran tests that they didnt even consult with me about and have billed me Incorrectly. I was sick of arguing with them and hearing their rude tone and finally consented to just pay the bill. After I was told since July that they would bill my vision for one of the test that would be covered under vision, I got the same statement with the same amount owed two months later. When I called on that one I was told she forgot to bill them but she was working on it now. When I called about the statement in Octoberr, a very rude man told me my bill was now well over 200!. The appointment I scheduled was a vision appointment just for a check up under my vision insurance. At one point they told me they were checking for Macular degeneration, which I have never been diagnosed with nor have I ever ask them to check that. I work at a hospital and I do insurance , so I do know what Im talking about. But they talk down to people. I will never deal with this place again and I have been there several times. No more! I will not be paying That high of a bill. They need to get their billing people trained! And as I read other complaints about them, its all too familiar!

Dear ************, I am sorry you have not had a good experience with our billing department. I just left you a voice message which includes my direct phone number and am happy to further discuss your situation. Billing routine (healthy eye exam for the primary purpose of getting an updated glasses or contact lens Rx, much like an annual wellness exam) vs a medical eye exam, can get complicated based on the doctor's ******** during the exam. We do our best to educate our patients about the differences in billing. Since you work in healthcare and specialize in insurance billing I am sure you can appreciate the complexities associated with billing a myriad of different insurance plans which all have different rules. Nonetheless, there is no excuse for our patients feeling like they were treated rudely, and I hope you will call me back to further discuss your experience. Sincerely, *********************, CEO

The ******* spoke a couple of times, through ************* call, but she stands by their ************* in the end she discounted my bill by 25%. I went to see their cataract specialist after I had cataract surgery at a different company and one eye did not do well. We had discussed a piggyback lens but in the end that doctor at Spokane I, said if it could be fixed with glasses that would be a better route. Of course I agree but the prescription of glasses he gave me never worked. I went back to their company within the 90 days to have the glasses checked but now I realized the prescription was wrong. I cant wear those glasses. So I have decided since I feel originally I wouldve only had a $10 co-pay with them and all the previous stuff never shouldve been done, I am not paying them one ***** more. I have had four prescriptions for eyeglasses in a year and I still dont have glasses that work right. Somebodys not doing something right.

I have had 3 eye surgeries in the last 6 months at Spokane Eye Clinic. The first 2 were retinal surgeries, the last a simple cataract surgery. I cannot think of anywhere that would provide the same level of excellent service and care. I am so thankful for the staff at this clinic!!! The ophthalmologists are excellent and the staff is very competent. Any questions I had were answered with patience in spite of the fact that they are very busy. My retinal doctor even told me that I would receive competent cataract surgery in *********** where I live. I chose to return to Spokane Eye Clinic because I wanted to be treated by the very best. Because of their expertise, I have clear sight in my right eye. Seventy-five years ago I would have been blind in that eye!I feel very comfortable in their care. Since I'm an RN, I consider myself fairly discerning. Go to Spokane Eye Clinic if you are experiencing eye problems, you'll be glad you did.

6/10/2021 at 10:15 am, ******** *********** had an Eye Exam appointment at Spokane Eye Clinic with Brandon M*******. The assistant did all the preliminary tests and took the glasses I was wearing, but not the pair I said was more current. Brandon M******* did not perform the tests himself. Brandon M******* said I may need Cataract Surgery and stated that he would not write a current eyeglass Prescription for me, even after I told him and the assistant that my eyeglasses were older and needed to be replaced. He said I would need a new prescription after surgery. The surgery is not yet scheduled and I told them it could be months, as we would be traveling. I brought in eyeglasses with a more current prescription, but they did not want to look at them. I finished the appointment and left the office. I called the Spokane Eye Clinic twice after returning home, at 12:01 pm and 2:40 pm, requesting my written Eyeglass Prescription. During the 2:40 pm call I was told they have 48 hours to return calls. At 3:45 pm I received a phone call from Spokane Eye Clinic. The person speaking for Brandon M******* said that he "strongly recommended" that I not receive my eyeglass prescription. I re-stated that even if I had cataract surgery in a couple months or more, I needed the written Prescription to replace my current eyeglasses. This person repeated that it was "strongly recommended" that I not get a new eyeglass prescription as it would be a waste of money and I would have a new prescription after future surgery. It is offensive and presumptive for the Spokane Eye Clinic to suggest what is a waste of my money. I am not experiencing any vision problems with my glasses on. The actions by the Spokane Eye Clinic and Brandon M******* are, of course, ILLEGAL. To Quote, "The Federal Trade Commission enforces the Eyeglass Rule. It requires eye doctors — ophthalmologists and optometrists — to give patients a copy of their prescription – whether they ask for it or not. It’s the law." "You are required to provide a patient with a copy of the prescription immediately after the eye examination is completed." "We are writing to inform you that such a practice would violate the FTC’s Ophthalmic Practice Rules, 16 C.F.R. Part 456, known as the Eyeglass Rule, which require prescribers to provide a copy of the eyeglass prescription immediately after the eye examination, even if the patient does not request it, and prohibit prescribers from requiring that patients buy eyeglasses as a condition of providing a copy of the prescription." It is very disappointing to have to even have to write this letter and have this hassle at all. I would like my eyeglass prescription as required by law. And I would add that Brandon M*******'s assistant, after asking a health question, I answered, commented that "old age is kicking in" This was rude and condescending.
