I hired *** to repair my truck after a collision on 4/29/23. I was told by the owner that he after received the money from his estimate from my insurance company, the repairs would take 4 to 5 weeks to finish. I met with his wife to deposit the check from the insurance company on 5/31/23 and he refused to return my calls, text or emails until 8/14/23. I realized he was not being honest with me so at that point I begin being vigilant, asking questions and documenting our conversations and dealings. He gave multiple excuses and lied to me dozens of times between 8/14 and 9/15 and nothing was progressing. I have it all documented in text format. He stopped responding to me completely, blocked my calls texts and emails so his wife and the mechanic in his shop became my contacts. I still had to stop in person to get answers or check progress. Between 9/15 and 11/6/23 I was told 8 times different finish dates, lied to about what was worked on, what had been finished, and what parts and repairs hed had made. On 10/17/23 his wife asked me to purchase a spindle, speed sensor and strut for my truck as they werent parts included he lied those parts were on his estimate, I didnt know then, in the interest of getting truck done faster I spent $315 on those parts and left work early to bring them to him. On 11/15/23 I stopped by the shop on my way home and spoke with the mechanic because the owner wasnt there to talk. He showed me my truck and I noticed some things very wrong immediately. The cv axle had been installed without the boot, the front tire was still crooked,. He had written replace in pink marker on the door as it was to be replaced. He clearly had been repairing the door instead of replacing. That in combo with the rest proved to me that day he was committing insurance fraud. 11/22 I had a tow truck pick it up from his shop and take it to Can Am. He threatened me with a lawsuit of harassment for my diligence calling it harassment that day. Denied a refund.
