They charged me 5k after signing a lease at one of their apartments. I had to leave in a week and break the lease. I have several emails on the part of the manager confirming that everything was paid off upon leaving. Many months later there is a debt collector and a **** on my credit score saying I owe 3000 extra(as I said I was only there a week) I still havent been unable to get rid of this debt and they should remove it.On the files attached please note the move out date as well as the date of the emails from ***** saying I owe nothing, they took my whole deposit to settle as you can see in the email, even though I was there just a few days. And then they come for me for 3k more.Initial Complaint

Upon discovering an open and unlocked emergency door with a broken alarm, I contacted management through email. I've not received a satisfactory response from them and the door remains open and accessible from the outside. The building also has a serious mold issue, which additionally has gone unattended to. Musty, nauseating smells can be encountered throughout the building and mold plates done at home show a grim result. It is suspected that my symptoms are due to this mold, as I've been feeling especially unwell since around May. Other residents have had conversations with me about not feeling well also. I'll be contacting a renters union to address this myself soon. I received a 14 day notice in October and they have not satisfying replied to any of my correspondence, including one to initiate a request to vacate. One of the only emails I've received from a leasing agent has mentioned that the split payment options have been removed and that rent must be paid in full before the 6th each month, including what is due for those with 14 day notices. This company has shown very little care for their tenants, basically no ability to work with those in need, and very little respect for others.Business Response

To address the tenant complaints, I submit the following:
The fire door work order is complete. We rely on tenants to report issues as they occur so that they can be addressed promptly.
This tenant was placed into the eviction cycle for non-payment of rent. The process begins with a 14- or 30-day notice to pay. If we receive no payment within the time stipulated, the file is turned over to our attorney for processing. Once in the process, full payment of all overdue amounts are required to cancel the eviction process. In this case, the file was forwarded on 10/24/2024. On 10/31/2024, we received a notice to vacate. It was populated into the system with the requested move-out date of 11/30/2024. The manager responded to the request to verify move-out and inquire about moving up the date, given the accumulating rent balance and looming eviction.
I can't speak to illness or conditions of Ms. ******** unit - only that we take care of maintenance requests as they are noted. Ms. ****** has placed seven work orders, three for keys, one for the door noted in the complaint, and others for various issues in her unit and the common areas of the building. All have been addressed.

Apartment complex has begun charging payment processing fee to pay rent. They do not provide an option to avoid processing fee. This processing fee is not included in my lease agreement and has started being charged mid lease. The office has been unhelpful in providing options to avoid this fee. There seems to be no way of paying my rent without being assessed a fee, and it was not included in my lease contract. I am still under lease.Initial Complaint

I moved out early 2020 from the *************** in ******* owned by formerly the Stratford company, currently renamed living bode. For two years I received no letters or calls informing me I owed anything upon moving out (was also a former employee so they had my info) left a forwarding address and everything on move out form. Two years later I received a **** on my credit report with a collections from ***************************** saying I owed $2821. I dispute this as I was never notified I owed money nor what was causing such a high amount after move out.Initial Complaint

The business committed to providing me a safe place to live, to rent from for their services. However, threats to my own safety and well being have been continuous and the property has not resolved my complaints in due time.
