Intermedia provided me with monthly VOIP telephone service for three telephone lines. In July 2022 I cancelled my service with Intermedia and asked for my three telephone numbers to be ported to a new provider. Intermedia informed me that the porting would be completed on August 12, 2022. Between July and August 12, the telephone service on the three lines continued but line quality was often poor and I was intermittently unable to access my service portal. After August 12, 2022, I could no longer access the portal and did not expect to be able to do so. Intermedia, however, has continued to bill my credit card monthly to the present time, the most recent deduction being made on October 11. Intermedia claims that I did not ask for my account to be closed but only asked to have all three lines that I had with them ported to another company. When I complained, I was informed that my account will only be cancelled from the date of my complaint - October 14, 2022. This company has very poor customer service and now appears to be dishonest in billing practices too.Initial Complaint

Our firm, was offered a deal to switch to Intermedia's new platform, Unite. We had several issues with their customer service beginning on March 10, 2022. From no callbacks, to restating our questions and details several times, to misinformation given to us. Our business account (ID ******** was then transferred, and to be handled, directly with an account executive for Intermedia. When we got in contact, we were inquiring a quote in order to begin our switch to the new platform. The account executive on multiples calls, and multiple times per call, affirmed that for each line of phone we had on Unite, we would be given a brand new T54W phone. Since we had six lines, we were receiving six new phones -- which he clarified and confirmed in our phone conversation. On March 17, 2022 the account executive sent us a quote stating the phones were "FREE" according to the ****, as well as a PDF file attached to the email, where there was information on the T54W product. On March 24, 2022, I asked for a final proposal quote of the Unite plan, as we had added one more product. Once again, the T54W phones showed up as "FREE," as he had stated. On March 28, 2022, the account executive called me to discuss pricing for a different product we were interested in. My question to him was: "If we are receiving a free T54W phone with each line on Unite, why would we not receive a discounted replacement cordless phone with one of the lines?" He immediately sounded astounded as if he had made a mistake -- which he did. He verbally had affirmed the phones were free, when in fact we would have to pay up to $140 for each one. He messed up both quotes, and promised to call us back and has disappeared. Intermedia committed to provide us great service and support as our business transitioned into their new platform. Although, the biggest reason we were switching was because of the free phones. Our business was misinformed and tricked several times. Intermedia has yet to contact us.
