  I signed up for Turno as a professional house cleaner and paid $89 for a background check, expecting to be connected with ****** hosts and cleaning jobs as advertised. After more than a month, I have received zero responses or job opportunities, despite sending out multiple offers with competitive pricing and a complete profile.The platform gives the impression that paying for a background check will improve your chances, but in reality, it has done nothing to help me get work. There is no support, no communication from potential clients, and no clear explanation as to how cleaners are matched.I feel misled and disappointed. I would like a full refund for the background check and to close my account. I do not recommend Turno to independent cleaners looking for real job leads

  I feel misled by Turno’s platform. I was shown what looked like two job leads, which encouraged me to pay $89 for a background check. The app gave the impression that this would unlock real job opportunities.
  After I paid, I discovered those leads were from last year — they were outdated and not active. That detail was not shown before payment, and I feel this was intentionally hidden to push me into buying the background check.
  I already have 5-star reviews on my profile and still have never received any job through Turno. The platform seems to create the illusion of opportunity without delivering results.
  I don’t recommend paying for anything on this app unless they change how they treat service providers. I hope they take steps toward being more honest and transparent with users.

  Their first background check was $14.99. Now a year later it's $89.99. I run background checks as part of my job and at most I've paid $15 (turno) and other companies I've used for my own employees is $7-$12. It's a rip off to charge that much and refuse background checks from anywhere else. Complete rip off. It's not enough they take their cut but now they're charging insane background fees. Will stick to our apps we use and not be returning to turno.

  The cost of a background check badge went from $69.99 to $149.99 in 3 weeks. This fee for standard background check is obnoxious, unreasonable and highway robbery! As a cleaner I use multiple platforms to grow my buisness, I have paid at most 20$ for check, most are free. Turno makes it impossible to join the market place. You have to have background check badge purchase through the app you can bring a recent one, without thier badge you can not get customers. Greed is a sad thing.

  As a cleaner I will never use them again. I have had the worst experience getting paid by the company they use stripe as well as I have had the worst experience with them, hooking me up with owners to work for and then when I reach out to ask them for help about things which then they want me to pay money for badges that they clearly dont know what theyre doing, I dont get any kind of backing from the company in anyway it is solely designed to help the people that have rentals and not the people that they are employing personally just keep your money dont pay them anything there are no help whatsoever and I do believe that theyre quite a scam because Ive gotten absolutely no business from them for any bids Ive made none out of 45 bids not one job
