I Rented a car from Seattle Car Rentals and they said it would be $450 for the 3 days and a $150 deposit. I had it for the 3 days. The car had a check engine light on and barely ran. I returned it and no one was at the office. They said leave the keys in it and then said to get a cab or something back even though they picked me up. That is not right to begin with but then refused to give me my deposit back. They are completely scamming people. They need to be shut down. It's not right.

The transaction occurred on June 7, 2023, when we purchased a rental car from the companys employer ****. We paid $1150 including a $300 deposit, all in cash, due to her insisting they only took cash. When we arrived to her office there was a sign that said they take cards. We were in desperate need as we had failed to realize our car rental reservation for Budget would only take credit cards, so we had little to no other options. She took my credit card on file as she stated for purposes of returning the deposit once the car was returned. The engine light was on and she insisted her mechanic is good and that it just needs oil put in if we travel a couple hours away. She told us she would provide it but never did. After a couple hours of travel, we bought oil to put in it and did so. We had taken pictures after we were given the keys and took a video when we dropped it off at the lot. When I called to inquire about the deposit she said that the repairs for the front being hit and the bent key would be $450 and that the deposit would cover all but $150, which we would need to pay immediately. I let her know that no accident had occurred and reminded her that she struggled to get the car started when she first got in, as we did the rest of the time while we had it. She refused to talk it over and insisted we still pay $150. We provided her with a picture of how the car was when we got it and she still insisted on payment. She threatened to call my work and my license? I did not read the reviews before, but I went back and looked at them and 99% of them are awful with very similar complaints. My goal in reporting this is to be free from the $150 unethical charge, possibly get my $300 deposit back if possible, but if not then its okay, because its most important that there are repercussions for this company and that this does not happen to anyone else again! The lady seemed so nice and kind in our initial meeting, but this was not the same for all other interactions.

I received a bill from **** today, 21 October, for a Seattle **** car rental return from 29 September stating an additional fee for excessive dirt, sand, in a vehicle I rented. The car was returned with a full tank of gas as well as the usual wear and tear from a week by the coast. Neither my wife not I even went to the beach where we could gather excessive sand. The car was clean of any waste we may have accumulated and neither my wife nor I saw any visual signs of excessive sand in the car. Last year we were also charged with excessive cleaning for whatever trumped up charges this particular **** rental company could get away with. What this leaves us with are three choices: not to rent from **** and file a formal complaint with my husbands employer to caution future transactions with ****, not rent from **** while visiting Seattle, or take pictures of the exterior and interior of the vehicle before returning it. That a company can just randomly charge you extra fees AFTER the car is returned and send you a bill three weeks later is ridiculous. This is twice from ****. Time for them to review their practices.

I signed a 4 day contract on 9/29/2022 @ Sea Car rentals located *****************************************************************. There number is ************. I rented a car from them. I signed the contract. I had a $300 deposit, paid $199.49 a day per rental and then $200 for insurance. Then I get a call from a person today with the company. They new my age when I rented. they new I am 19. But they called and said there is an additional charge for you being underage. This wasnt discused at the time I signed the contract. I also didnt see it anywhere in the copy I have. Theyn they called and told me I have to cashapp or vemo them $250 more. This seems like a scam and very preditory. I saw other reviews on there website and this fusturates me as they have done this to other people and not coming to a stop. This needs to put to a end. This is unfair for them to keep scamming people.
