I had a water issue in my backyard. I was getting some standing water in the back corner of my yard. Not infringing on the house but didn't want water back there. Last summer I had Permadry come out and access the problem. I had lot's of pics and thoroughly explained the issues. Their rep said he knew exactly how to solve it and made his recommendations. I took their professional advice and hired them to come out. They missed the first appointment and delayed it about one month. They did finally come out and perform the work they said they would. This fall when we started getting rain it became apparent that the work they did did not resolve my issue and in fact made it worse. The flooded area is now bigger, deeper and takes about 6 times as long to dissipate and resorb back into the ground. I immediately called them and they sent their guy back out on Nov 21st to take another look. I provided pics. He was going to talk to the owner promised to get back to me right after Thanksgiving. I never heard back. I've called them and sent several(4) e-mails. They are unresponsive.

PermaDry installed a crawlspace draining system in April ******************************************************** between the door and the crawlspace entry. The owner was contacted and agreed to "come to agreement" of repair of the damage. I have supplied him with estimates from repairs from a floor refinisher and a contractor who will pack out/pack in the furniture/appliances, etc. The last email sent to the owner was 7/13/2023 and he has not responded since that time. I would like the company to honor it's promise to cover the costs of floor damage causes by their employees.

An officer of the company contacted me and promised to respond after discussing with the owner. To date, no response since then. I have contacted a lawyer.

I have no doubt that PermaDry (PD) used to be a good service provider but with pandemic and supply chain issues along with personal problems the owner described to me, I can't recommend them now. I first received a quote for crawl space encapsulation in Sept. 2021. Work was supposed to happen within a month or two and I scheduled other suppliers around this schedule. Due to a local concrete worker strike, the job was first pushed out about 3 months. Then again, and again. Eventually the work was done late summer/early fall of 2022 at a total invoice of over $12k. The drainage system looked like it was done properly as described in the proposal. The much delayed concrete work is a different story. The "technician" in charge was a very aggressive and fairly careless worker. He was in the crawl space banging around and swearing like a sailor saying things like, "WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DRAIN PIPES IN HERE?!?!" I get it but the drainage crew was the complete opposite and quite professional. The concrete is extremely rough and pocked making it very tough to actually crawl on now. The dehumidifier was installed slightly lower than the sump rim which resulted in condensate backflowing into the crawlspace. They also didn't insulate the rim joists. PD was initially semi-responsive saying they wouldn't leave me hanging, but my emails to get the shortcomings fixed have resulted in no response. Even the concrete supplier called me asking if I've heard from them because they couldn't get a response about final paperwork for my job. I've had to hire another company to fix the problems at a cost of ~$7100+. I doubt PD will respond or even see this but if they do, I'll save you some time: I won't accept any resolution that doesn't include a significant amount of refund to cover the $7100 I'm paying to fix shortcuts and undone work. If you're looking to hire a crawl space company, do some research at crawlspaceninja-dot-com, green buildingadvisor-dot-com and buildingscience-dot-com.

We want a refund of our down payment for neglect & nonperformance. As per agreement's terms there will be a $300 charge for cancellations; we need a refund of $7,994.13. We made a down payment of $8,294.13 (~60% of total) with 2 checks ($5,529.42 on 5/19/22 and $2,764.71 on 7/8/22) for a Rat Slab + added work. Total cost was to be $13,823.55 (includes tax). I signed the bid on 5/17/22. We were 1st given an install date of 8/18-8/19/22. Later it was updated to 7/27-7/28. But on 7/21 I was told the install was cancelled due to concrete supplier issues. That was fine, but I didn't hear back for a month, on 8/16 I emailed ***************************** asking for an update & expressing our concerns. On 8/22 (6 days after my email) I received an email from owner *********************** that said in part, "new direction that we are trying to proceed with is to get all crawl ready for concrete" & "my office should be reaching out to you this week to set a date for the pre-emptive work required to be completely ready for concrete." On 8/24 I received an email from ******* which said in part "we should be able to hopefully make some orders soon. We should know by early next week." There was no scheduling for pre-emptive work. I emailed on 8/24 & 8/27 asking about scheduling pre-emptive work & to inform them of HVAC work at my house. I did not hear from them for 2 weeks! So on 9/6 I called, left voicemails, texted, & emailed. No response. On 9/7 I tried again. When I call ****** # he answered, but quickly hung up. More attempts went unanswered. I texted ******** said he'd call back shortly. Never did. In fact, all phone calls since 6/23 were initiated by me! Wow! 9/12 Emailed *************** 9/13 Called, no answer. Tried new # on website. **** answered. He said he would know by later that day, but if not he would call by Friday. 9/16 (Friday), no call from ****. We waited past 5 for his call. Their office closes at 4. We had enough of broken promises & being ignored. I emailed them for **********************
