I hired **** and *** to fill out a building permit that I have already had and was quoted around $400 dollars. So I paid a retainer fee of $1036 so they could start working on my project instead of showing up to my property to fill out the paper work I have already had in hand They **** out the process unnecessarily and **** up the property details incorrectly because they were guessing on county records and wasting my time and money so I had no choice but to fire them as they were already double what I was quoted to fill out a simple paper. And still have yet to be refunded they remaining balance of what I already paid. So I basically paid over $900 for 1single piece of paper that I can not turn into the county to move my mobile home on time. Out of 10 pages one was filled out and filled out incorrectl. This is how I was billed Meet with county **** hours Site and recorded document research 1 hour Site plan and application and client communication 5 hours At $125 an hour I paid ****** and have ***** left of the retainer I paid. With incorrect work I can not use The communication was 5 emails I have asked for a more detailed explanation on how I have been charged so much for this. And this is all I get as an explanation Im conclusion they unfairly **** out this process when Im fact off they would of came and filled out my paperwork at my residence where all the information and building permit was located it would have been done in a timely fashion like I was originally quoted it wouldnt of tooken more then 2 hours if done correctly Attached below is what cost me a thousand dollars so farBusiness response

*************** contacted my firm seeking assistance in filing the required building permits required to relocate a manufactured home onto his property. This was our email correspondence:
Myself to ****************:
Hello ******,
See attached for our proposal, the verbiage is geared towards feasibility in regards to a custom home however we are aware that we'll be helping you with the manufactured home permit which is all under our hourly billing as *** discussed. Let me know if you have any questions and if you'd like to proceed we'll send over via DocuSign for digital signatures and go from there.
Regards,
****
******************* response:
Yes I'm good to proceed.
I don't have a check tho I have cash or card?.
Do you have a closer estimate on how many hours it would usually take to fill out just the forms?
My response:
Hi ******,
Depending on what all is entailed a few hours *** would be all that I expect for paperwork. They may require a site plan to be created though which will take some time and the amount of time depends on your overall site conditions. We'll send a link for payment tomorrow.
Thank you,
****
******************* response:
Sounds good, thank you
So from here we entered into contract, I sent over an invoice for the $1,000 retainer. I offer the ability to pay with a credit card and in such pass along the credit card fee so **************** opted to pay by card thus the amount he paid was $1,036.00. From there, we began work on his project. Utilizing permit records and traveling to ***** *************** center we created the preliminary DRAFT site plan and obtained the required permit applications. When creating the site plan we utilized permit archives from previous permits. In this case, there were conflicting documents from previous permits so we recreated the site plan with the proposed home location in one of the two locations previously illustrated on the permit archives. The draft site plan along with other requirements **************** needed to obtain from the manufactured home installer were sent over. Our contract states we will be billing on an hourly basis for work performed and such work will be billed for on a monthly basis. So, as we waited for **************** to give us feedback on the preliminary draft site plan and to gather the required information from his installer an invoice was sent over for $906.25. The invoice was billed against his retainer. I received an email from **************** inquiring about when he'll receive his "paperwork". I forwarded his email to my staff and asked that they reach out and respond to his inquiry. That was 4/1/2022 and I was out of the office beginning my family vacation. Over the weekend *************** had responded with the threat taking us to small claims and filed the BBB complaint. Still on my family vacation, I called **************** on Monday the 4th explaining to him that I was out of town at the moment but would offer him a refund since he was so unhappy with our services. I explained that I would not be able to issue him a refund until I returned back to the office the following week. Upon return, as promised, I refunded **************** in the amount of $1,036.00 which included his full retainer and credit card processing fee.
***************, my apologizes that we did not meet your expectations for services rendered and you have now been refunded in full.
Regards,
