In preparation to replace a structure on our property we needed to make an adjustment to our septic system. We contracted with **** Amman of Amman Septic Designs **** on 2/14/2023 to design the septic system changes and handle inspections through to project completion for a total of $5650. **** provided the designs and helped with resolving some inspection issues (e.g. drafting a covenant not to use an on-site well for potable water). When it came time to complete the project and perform inspections of the work completed by the ***** *********** (septic installer), I heard from *************************** (of ***** **** that, "**** Amman is no longer available and since your project has not been finalized you will need to contract with a new septic designer and do a change of designer of record to complete the septic inspections and Asbuilting." I attempted to contact **** through email but only received automatic replies indicating I should not expect a response. Consequently, we had to hire another septic designer, *******************, to complete the inspections and As Built documents for an additional $1500 plus a $198 for a King ****** change of designer fee. At the time I didn't know why **** suddenly had to leave, but I can understand how personal emergencies can create unexpected demands for small business owners. On 3/3/2024 **** sent me an email indicating he was unavoidably detained in ******** and hadn't been able to respond until just now. I am seeking a refund of $1698 to cover the cost of having another septic designer (*******************) complete the work **** was paid to do.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience that my forced absence caused *****; We have been in contact with each other recently via email; Last night (3/24/2024) I offered ***** the $ ******** he has requested; I asked him to allow me to pay him back over four months due to the financial hardship that my experience in ******* caused me. I cannot pay him the entire amount right now in that I have to continue to feed and house my three kids and wife in addition to paying ***** (and others) the agreed upon sum(s); I anticipate him agreeing to that plan and have prepped the checks starting with the first check dated yesterday and then each successive check dated every month thereafter; As soon as I receive confirmation from ***** that this is ok then I will mail him all four checks and this issue will be resolved. Again I am truly sorry that I wasn't able to help him during the final inspection portion of his project but I was fighting for my life in a country where I didn't speak the language and everyone wanted money. Here is my public post on my website which explains what happened: ******************************************************************

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is very satisfactory to me. While I was greatly frustrated and disappointed with the situation prior to hearing from **** many months after the event, I find his explanation of the situation understandable. I have been greatly impressed with the integrity he's shown in his response to our complaint. **** would be the first person I would contact should I need further septic design work.

      Sincerely,

      *******************************

My work was not completed as **** was arrested for having *** with underage kids in ********.As a result of his behavior, I had to pay another designer to complete the work he did not finish **********************************************************************************************************

The accusations made against me in ******** are completely false and I remained in ******** with my legal team to prove that the accusations had zero merit. On February 13th the court is going to rule that I am completely innocent and that the charges filed against me were without any merit; It disappoints me that a client that I treated so well was so quick to assume the ******** tabloid was printing a truthful story and that he would file such a review without getting the truth first; I am truly sorry for the inconvenience that my forced absence caused him but slandering my name over his inconvenience seems extreme and uncalled for; In the end I can only control my actions and not the thoughts or actions of my clients.

Your $ ******** refund check will be issued on March 1st and mailed the same day; I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you.
