My rating would be 4.5 stars if that was an option. One Way recently completed a custom **** sq.ft. home on my river property near ***********. As with any project this size there were setbacks and challenges. However, the team at One Way always answered the phone or immediately got back to me if I had to leave a message. We struggled with getting accurate timelines from sub-contractors, supply chain issues, and increasing lumber and metal prices during Covid. I feel that One Way did their best to navigate these issues and made concessions, in my favor, to mitigate them. One thing I was very impressed with was that when One Way had their framers doing the work, this is one of the trades that they have in-house, the crew was there every day, put in a full days work, were friendly, informative, and well-supervised. I would add that this work occurred throughout December with snow and freezing temperatures, the crew always showed up. When it came time for the building inspection, there were very few and minor items called out by the Building Inspector.Finding a reliable and consistent contractor can be difficult. If that is what you are needing I would recommend giving One Way an opportunity. KP

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They do not follow through with anything they say they are going to do. They produce extremely poor quality of work, they hire inexperienced workers, provide them no tools, guidance or oversight, they took 3 times longer than expected and we had to fix several MAJOR issues after they left. This includes 2 separate STRUCTUAL issues that had to be rectified after they "finished" the job so our house would stay standing. Sam will basically tell you whatever you want to hear but never actually does any of it. You have to watch them extremely closely and remind them 3,4,5+ times to do things or they just won't do it. They will tell you things have been done when they haven't in hopes you won't check for yourself. Sam even went as far as to suggest to me that I should regularly check in with his crews (he suggested twice a day) to make sure they were working hard since we observed them sitting in their truck the majority of the day. In the end we were extremely disappointed, over budget, and way behind schedule and Sam only had excuses (including blaming his own crews and telling us that none of them would have jobs at the end of our project). Not exactly what a homeowner wants to hear especially when spending good money.
