Auto repair shop failed to perform proper service, I have Midas installed store bought parts " Spark plugs " I have been having problem with the vehicle and I took to another shop since I have another complain open with the same company #********. And I do not feel that the mechanic who will perform the work will do more damage than good.Business response

We installed his own spark plugs in his vehicle on 1/7/20 at 114,177 miles. He had his spark plugs tightened on 5/5/20 at 122,066 miles. He drove for 1 yr & 5 months & 7,829 miles since we installed the spark plugs. So he's just now having problems? I find it hard to believe that you can go that long & drive that many miles without a spark plug(s) coming out and/or noticing a running problem with the performance of his engine. We also stated on the invoice; "No warranty or guarantee on customer carry in parts." Given the amount of time since we installed the spark plugs, the miles driven & the disclaimer on his invoice; I can't justify a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: Since the shop manager seems focused on " Warrantees " all this complaints isn't about warrantee on parts I bring in, None of the parts I have complained about in this claims is about " Parts warrantees ". From many times I brought my vehicle to this same shop with parts to be installed, Shop manager knows this, I know parts that I brought in will have no warrantees if it failed. I paid for labor and everything else needed to be done. Brake parts complete assembly didn't failed, Failure was the mechanic didn't service the rotor as agreed on. Therefore the brake pads wore uneven, scorched and burnt, because the mechanic didn't resurface the rotor as agreed on, that's why that got wasted. I had Midas replaced the spark plugs, because of poor fuel economy, the shop manager said it would help much on by just replacing them. Again that maybe true but that doesn't why I'm complaining, fuel is better but not where it should be. The shop that found Midas failure to properly install those 4 spark plugs to their tighten specification is a good thing. I won't have to file a lawsuit Midas when any of those spark plugs comes off and ruin my 2013 engine, The shop found out something else why my fuel economy isn't where it should be. Spark plugs are burning good and again is not defective. That's another reason why I wont be bringing my vehicle back to Midas to correct simple job and on top of failure in that job performed, the vehicle receive damages not connected to job performed. So all this complain isn't about parts warrantee I brought that failed, all this about that worked performed that failed to do on top damages done my the shop that I have to buy and repair not including to what the shop is getting complained on. I only simply asked what is right.
