My wife went for the orthodontics free estimate to the VanDevanter clinic about 2-3 months ago. She decided not to use them for the actual treatment, and decided to go with different office, so nothing should of been charged to her. But this clinic still charged her insurance $1500, and since she is not going there for treatment, she wants full amount refunded. They have been playing phone tag with her for the last couple months, blaming insurance to send them request for refund, then they said they already filed for request themselves. Each time we contact them, there seems like some mis-communication and they keep telling us they will call back, and never do. I tried to email them to keep thread of chat history, and who I talk to for the reference... but they stopped responding to my emails, and keep blaming each other. We need money back so we can use that insurance money for the office that will do the actual treatment. Their actual new address is:33507 9th Ave ********** G

      Dear BBB:

***************************** came to us for Orthodontic treatment in March 5th, 2020.  Patient had signed the financial treatment to start her braces.  Two weeks later patient called and said that shed decided to have orthondontic treatment elsewhere.  She requested her down payment back, which I immediately refunded her deposit back onto her Credit card.  I have reached out to her and left messages for her to return our call.  Also I suggested that she and her husband would come in to our office and explain the whole situation, but I had no success.

I have reached out to her Dental insurance(Metlife) to request of the refund back to her insurance.  I have been continuing to contact them and explain to patient that I am waiting for the request letter in order for me to cut them(Metlife) a check back.

Apparently, there has been mis communication and mis understanding.  Per her husband he kept on asking if we can cut **** a refund check that insurance had paid us.  I told them that I can not do that.  I would have to pay back to her dental insurance(Metlife).  He and **** got upset and reported to BBB.

Please consider and I would like to resolve this situation ASAP.

      Sincerely,

      **************

      Hi,

I missed the deadline for response because I did not receive any notifications or emails from you guys (and I kept checking), and now my case is closed. Please re-open, I would like this investigation to continue since business is lying about what they did on their behalf to resolve the issue. The actually billed monthly of about $109 and ignored my wife's requests to stop billing the insurance for all that time since charge N1.

      Regards,
      Ruslan

Also I have additional information on the case: *** clinic was charging my wife's insurance monthly of around $109, until they hit maximum lifetime limit of $1500. I think that is important fact that shows that they ignored her requests for more than a year (she contacted them after each time) to cancel billing the insurance.

      Regards,
      Ruslan
