This was my first year hunting with Bearpaw Outfitters in Montana. We were hunting for merriam turkeys, and what an exceptional trip we had. Our guide, *****, was a wonderful young man. Very knowledgeable about the ***** and had a great strategy developed for going after those big Toms. First morning, we tripled with three awesome gobblers. On the second morning we closed out our **** with another awesome gobbler in a beautiful area. ***** was one of the friendliest, yet knowledgeable guides Ive hunted with. Very accommodating and he will ensure you have a successful ****, I would not hesitate to **** with ***** again, for any animal he guides. Thank you Bearpaw Outfitters., ********************* and ***********************

I have been hunting with BearPaw Outfitters since 2010. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy our trips to Southeast ***** to **** deer and elk. The Beavercreek Lodge is a very nice place to stay, and the meals that our hostess ******************* are marvelous. We have been blessed to **** with guide ****** the last few years. He is knowledgeable, sincere, well equipped, calm, professional, and pleasant. His demeanor clearly rubs off on the other guides. This last ****, October 2023, we got the biggest buck of my hunting career. We also had two very exciting elk encounters. No shooting, but that was my fault. We are already booked for **** and ****. I will be sending a deposit for **** very soon.

BEWARE!!!!!!I don't know what happened over there. How can 1 business be so different. This was our 2nd **** with BearPaw. My wife and I both hunted bears in May 2019 with *****. He was such a gracious host. There were 4 people that hunted bears at that time. He made everyone feel welcome BEFORE and AFTER their hunts. ***** was actually my wife's guide. He walked the sole off her boots literally. But she got a bear. ***** and I were talking one evening. I told him that I wanted to do a mule deer **** and if he knew where a good one was. He recommended their Utah/***** ****. Since we both had such a wonderful time hunting with BearPaw before Why Not Do It Again. So I booked a Mule deer **** 1 year in advance. The **** was Oct ***** 2021. We stayed in Utah, but I hunted in *****. The day we arrived we met with ****. We weren't even in the door 5 minutes when she was asking us to pay our ****. I realize that this is a business and all but come on. She could have asked if we were settles in knowing we traveled 30 hours/3days one way to get there. It could have waited for a little later. After all we wern't going anywhere. When we got there I was told my guide was supposed to be ******. But instead I had ****. He was/is very very green and he told me that I was his very first client. He did try very hard with no success in getting me a mule deer. I hunted 4 days and I didn't see any animals I could shoot. I did see 2 beautiful coyotes though. **** said he didn't know if I couldn't shoot them or not. When we arrived back to the lodge He asked **** and also ****** if they could have been shot. They both said yes definitely shoot every coyotes seen. Shouldn't he have known that they could have been shot. That would have made my **** right then an there bonus.I took my wife with me. I spent an extra $500 for an nonhunter. After i paid the **** ****** whole attitude changed as more hunters started coming into the lodge. Every night after dinner, Everyone was getting their game plans together for the next day. After the 2nd and 3rd day of hunting with a total of 13 guys hunting no one saw any deer. All the hunters started asking where are all the deer while others left. Everyone was getting ****** and started realizing that they had been taken advantage of. As far as my nonhunter wife. No one said what time meals were for nonhunters or dinner for anyone. There wasn't any reason for her to get up at 5:30am for breakfast as she wasn't going with me. She always went to the dining area a few hour later. There was a sign in our room stating breakfast ends at 9:30. One morning she heard talking upstairs and then doors closed suddenly. Another morning **** wouldn't get off the phone. She was never offered anything for breakfast or lunch. But she was offered a cup of coffee once. But the funny thing was **** said every evening "You must be starving," Knowing She hasn't eatten anything there. She was taught that you don't ask for food or go in other peoples refrigerators unless you are told you can. I started bring her 2 of the sadest sandwiches ever that was being served for our lunches each day. The dinners could have been a lot better considering how much we all paid for our hunts. Some hunters said we should at least have had a steak night and not just spaghetti and meat sauce, tacos and dry chicken. Everyone was really suprised when we had BBQ rubs one night and ham another. I think everything was so ***** because everyday we heard the same thing how **** had Covid 7 months ago and still couldn't taste or smell. If that was the case then why was she cooking dinner everynight. After i put out a little over $5000 on a **** and license and didn't even see a deer. I am VERY VERY VERY disappointed and will NOT recommend anyone to **** in Utah/***** for mule deer with BearPaw.WARNING WARNING DO NOT **** WITH BEARPAW IN UTAH/***** FOR MULE DEER. Don't waste your money you will be disappointed. Sincerly, ******************************

Your disappointment of not getting a buck is understandable, we are very sorry that you were unsuccessful. A hunting business depends on success and when hunting is tough people get upset. A large storm system went through our area, it snowed for 5 days, in fact many highways closed at times due to the severe conditions, after the storm finished it was apparent many deer moved to lower slopes. The two best hunting options were to hike several miles through deep snow to get to those slopes or drive 1.5 hours around and **** uphill from the other side of the mountains which is a tough climb, either option is physically demanding and numerous guests left early. The three story lodge I rent is located a few miles into Utah, it's the closest accommodations to our high mountain ***** hunting area, there are twelve rooms, it's also our largest camp. I have a photo of the lodge on our webpage, its quite nice, most of our southern ***** hunters request the lodge so its full every year. I do get hunters who request a smaller camp, the farm house only has four guest rooms, with 7 beds, so we have a maximum of 7 guests there, it is also at a lower elevation, we had better success there this year, but each year varies, some years the lodge has the best success. After cleaning up breakfast my wife keeps her room door at the lodge open during the day, the door is in the dining area and marked manager, anyone can ask for food or anything else that's needed, but if you dont ask she has no way of knowing what is needed? We did not know about the sign in your room saying breakfast is on until 9:30, I think that was left over from the summer horseback riding season when breakfast is served much later in the morning, you have my sincere apologies for the confusion that sign caused. It's unfortunate you dropped your rifle and broke the scope the first morning, you lost the first day of hunting. The camp log shows 83 doe and 9 bucks were seen during the **** and almost half were seen on that first day, after that many deer moved out, fewer deer were seen every day. There were also days you didn't **** all day and you didn't **** the last day at all, if a hunter doesn't **** half the time then obviously success is going to be half as likely. The guide said you missed a coyote at *************************** then he second guessed if coyotes were open to shoot and later verified that they were.A few bucks were passed but only two bucks were taken on this ****, we usually have higher success. The storm really impacted this ****, even though all of the guides tried their best to get hunters on deer, it was a tough **** and we are very sorry about that. We certainly didn't plan for this to happen, we would certainly rather have happy hunters.Best Regards,**** Denneyis

First of all you need to get your facts straight. Remember you weren't there, log or no log. Anything can be written in that. I dropped my gun on the second day. Went to *****, got it fixed and went back hunting that evening. On the first day no one saw any bucks only does and fawns. That happened to be on the road. A lot of the guys were complaining saying where are all the deer. As for you stating I never went hunting every day. Thats a down right lie. The only day I missed was the last day, Thats because my guide **** didn't show up until 6:45am. We discussed where we were going and for what time the night before. Your wife came out around 6:20am and was suprised to see me sitting there. She asked if I was going out this morning? I told her we were supposed to but **** didn't show up. He finally came running in saying I'm sorry let go. It would have taken about 45minutes to an hour to get where we planned to go and another 40 minutes to hike to the spot, only to **** for what 3 hours it was worth it. So i didn't go. Other than that time I was out there everyday in the snow. Only 2 bucks were taken. they were so small it could have been thown over the guided shoulders. I spoke with one guy that took one. He said that if he didn't shoot that one he wouldn't have gotten anything. At least he had some meat for the freezer. Out of 13 hunters only 2 small bucks were taken. That doesn't say to much. We were supposed to go to private land but that never happened. I still have your emails stating that. Its even on your web page. So i had to **** on public land with the 100+ other hunters that were running 4wheelers and side by sides all through the forest. As for shooting the coyote, I was going to. But **** was panicing saying I couldn't. He didn't want to get into trouble. When we got back to the lodge we asked if we could have taken it. Your wife was ****% sure that we could have but said to ask ****** to make sure. Of course we could have. I would think thought a guide would know that I could have taken it but he didn't. I would have been ecstatic to have taken one. Your wife even said that she wanted one.As for the managers door always open, No it wasn't. My wife went down there several time. It was always closed. A few times she could hear talking on the phone about some one that got covid in a nursing home or hear talking upstairs and then doors closing suddenly. We were never told to make yourself at home and help yourself. Then again all the cabinets had locks on them. I belong to SCI. The next convention is in January in ********. I will be attending it and letting all the outfitters know what kind of racket you run. I used most of them previously. I'm sure you have all the phone numbers of all the 12 other hunters from that week. Why don't you call them personally and ask if they were satisfied with there experience hunting with your so call company. I've been hunting for well over 30 years and know a scam when I see one. Sincerly, *****************************

Dale, just wanted to drop you a note to close out with you on my bear hunt last week. I killed a good chocolate boar in the last hour of the last day of the hunt. Brian and your team never gave up and worked hard to make my hunt a success. I'd like to send Brian a note also to thank him properly. I didn't get a chance to really close out with him as we were still skinning the bear and pulling back straps around mid-night Friday. Trent was my guide and he did a great job. He's an excellent, guide, hunter and hounds man. Trent is a tireless worker, has strong people skills, and is a physical stud. Hold on to him, he represents Bearpaw Outfitters in an outstanding manner. I absolutely loved the pan handle area of Idaho and am thinking of doing the Elk combo hunt with Bearpaw in the fall of 22 with my son. Let me know if and when I can book that hunt. Thanks for a great hunt, ***
