I purchased a 2013 Tesla at Bellingham Nissan ** on 7/5/22. I was talked into buying the *********** warranty at that time for Preferred plus Tire and wheel. On 3- ***** while I was driving my car the tire popped. I called Nissan Bellingham to get the warranty information. They gave me the warranty information and was told to find a shop to take the car to have the tire fixed. I called numerous shops daily only to find out that no one in the greater Seattle area would take the *********** warranty. I then called Nissan Bellingham and told them nobody would take there warranty and was told to have the car towed to them and they would honor the warranty. When the mechanic diagnosed the controll arm was the cause of the tire failure ( Tesla dealership later told me it was the vehicle ball joint bushing and unrelated and would not cause tire failure) they said that they would not honor the warranty. The dealership replaced all 4 tires at my expense and told me to take the car elsewhere to get the control arms replaced.I took the car to ********************** and they said it was the ball joint bushing and not the control arms as stated from Bellingham Nissan and also not the reason for the tire failure. In fairness Nissan Bellingham should reimburse me for the cost of the 4 tires and towing or the reimbursement for the warranty they sold me at the time of purchase of the vehicle. : *********** Warranty sold on ********* in the amount of $2,499.00 : Bellingham Nissan Invoice for the tires in the amount of $1,185.79 : Dougs Affordable Towing in the amount of $470.05 : Tesla Dealership Invoice $2,237.34
