Bought a hot tub in 2018. Used electrician recommended by store to put in breaker box and wiring. 2022 pump failed. Called electrician as breaker box was tripping. Electrician said that the pump caused the breaker box to fail. He replaced breaker -- cost about $400. Electrician checked tub--still not working. Thought it was circuit board, told me to call tub company, but again told me he believed breaker had failed due to hot tub water pump which had then leaked water. I had hot tub technician come out. Hot tub tech told me no, it was the fault of the breaker--bad brand etc., and that he had never seen it, but the pump, heater AND circuit board were all blown--about $2000 to fix. I let electrician know that hot tub tech had said it was fault of breaker. Electrician replied, no breaker had been good for 4 years, wasn't the breaker. Was told by store that no warranty for anything any longer. Talked to innovations---they then decide I must have done chemicals wrong--even though I had 1) followed the directions I received from the store when I bought it 2) brought water to store to test to be sure I was doing it correctly 3) bought all my chemicals from store (except when not avail during covid) 4) used test strips each time I used the hot tub--paranoid about chemicals because daughter has a heart transplant and have to be very cautious about bacteria. I then called the maker of the hot tub to see if they could explain why, if this made sense, if there was some warranty--told me I had to talk to store---I had already done that. So finger pointing--and I have no way to show that this was not my fault---I would like it investigated as I'm out $2500 and had no other options, except to get rid of tub or try to find a non-authorized repair person...feels like I was scammed--- at least a partial sharing of the costs would seem appropriate
