My husband and I had dental work from Above and Beyond done in November 2020 and April 2021. During that time, we had a dental insurance change. We were given pre-authorization by our new dental insurance (Aetna) to keep going there. They said all was well and we were covered. Then, in January 2022, I received a call saying we owe 957 dollars. Between April 2021 and January 2022, I had never received a paper or email **** or a call from their office. They also billed the wrong insurance (MetLife) when we switched to Aetna after the new year. Not wanting my **** to go to collections, I asked them to pay the **** in full during that call in January. They told me not to pay the ****, that they had erroneously billed Aetna without the authorization number, and that they would correctly **** the insurance. They told me I had nothing to worry about and that it was taken care of. This evening (6/30), I received an email from Above and Beyond telling me they know about my financial hardships, and that I had discussed a payment plan with them (two things that never happened), and that I was to pay this ****. 5 months later. I called the office and they said "these things happen in healthcare." And told me they would "take care of it." I am not convinced that this business is capable of handling it, so I am seeking support from the BBB to get this **** corrected. Thank you.Customer response

I recently issued a complaint for Above and Beyond Dentistry and Implants in ********* **********. Complaint ID #********. I would like to discontinue this complaint as the office reached out to me and we are resolving the issue. Thank you very much.
