      I recently ordered an item of clothing from the Vermont Country Store. The clothing in question is a cargo coat which I ordered from this company and purchased on or about 1 February 2024. The Vermont Country Store supposedly used the ********************* to send me the cargo coat. It was supposed to have arrived within about a week or so, but it never arrived. I finally called the Vermont Country Store a week ago. The employees of this company could not account for the whereabouts of the cargo coat. I reordered the cargo coat last week, but it still has not arrived. At this rate, I have no idea when or if the cargo coat will ever arrive. This is the first time that I have ever purchased a product from this particular company. I have absolutely no idea whether or not I will ever receive the cargo coat in question via a *** delivery from the Vermont Country Store. This company should bolster it's quality control protocols. Perhaps I should have bought a cargo coat from Amazon. I would rather not use a Chinese-owned company like Amazon to buy products. However, if the Vermont Country Store is going to be this inefficient, then I will never again purchase anything from this company which thus far has had a dubious quality control record in its dealings with me. When I finally received the cargo coat, the zipper malfunctioned. I had to try numerous times to zip up the cargo coat. It is a great coat, but it is difficult to use. I would once again reiterate that the Vermont Company has problems with its logistics and in mailing out its products via the U.S. Postal Serrvice,

      I placed an order online, I received it a couple days later. It definitely was not what I expected. I wanted to return the bedspread immediately, printed a prepaid label directly from the Vermont store website. Mailed it on 1/29/24 and still have not been refunded. I also sent 3 emails regarding this issue, no one ever responded to any of the emails. Beware of their online catalog as it's very deceiving. I will NEVER consider shopping at the Vermont store ever again. Wish I read the horrible reviews before making a purchase.

      I ordered from this company for the first time and the Stadium Butter Toffee Peanuts was so nasty and not to mentioned bitter. I contacted them and received and email back from them stating i would get a full refund which would take ***** hours. As of 12-31-23 they have gone in my account and took another $26.09 payment. I am so FURIOUS WITH ABOUT ME EVER ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY. IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT IT TAKE MY ADVISE."DON'T DO IT!! i HAVE EMAILED THIS COMPANY AGAIN TODAY BECAUSE I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTION.

      We have looked into this matter and our records show you were charged $26.09 on 12/13/23 and then issued a refund of $26.09 on 12/30/23. We believe you have seen an authorization which can often look like a charge, depending on how your bank shows them. We can assure you; you were only charged once and then issued a full refund. We are very sorry for any trouble this may have caused. 

      We were also able to remove you from our mailing list today. Please note, our catalogs are pre-printed so you may receive another one before they finally stop.

      I purchased and was charged for an item on November 6. When it arrived on November 8, the products were bad. I called customer service and they sent me a prepaid return label. The items were returned by **** on November 13 and I was given a tracking number by the Vermont Country Store. The items went from **** to *** almost 2 weeks ago according to their customer service. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks before I received my almost $100 credit after I handed it off to the ****. It has now been over a month and I still don't have a credit. I have called and spoken to a "live" person 3 times and called today as well. I was told that they couldn't help me and they would pass my message onto someone and that it would be ***** hours before someone would call me back. I was disconnected twice from their online chat after demanding my money be credited back. I have had to dispute the charge on my credit card because I don't have the product and they will not credit my account.

      I ordered an item that was delivered unusable as it was described on the website. I submitted a review(with pictures). The review (or pictures)was not posted on their website and led customers to believe that the item was a 5 star product. It is not a product that customers will receive if they order it.

      We sent our tree back to them because it was faulty just want to exchange it for a working tree. we call to inquire about where it is? They claim it has a hold on it cause the price went up and they want a form of payment? this is not what we agreed upon when we spoke to rep for return of tree ****** ******* THAT DIDNT HELP US SHOULD BE ASHAMED ITS LIKE MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE VERMONT COUNTRY STORE WOW IS ALL WE CAN SAY SO AT THIS POINT WE DONT KNOW WHAT WE WILL BE USING AS A TREE BUT WE WILL FIGURE IT OUT WE WILL NOT GO THRU CHRISTMAS WITH OUT A TREE....

      Beware of buying anything in their catalogue, this isn't the first time I've had a problem with the products in their catalogue, I've noticed over the years I've received their catalogue the quality of the products have been lowered to the point that there is no doubt in my mind there is no check on the quality of the products they carry, products like dresses are made in countries with no quality control, my purchase of 2 dresses listed as small were so large 3 of me could fit into them, I'm a true small even a medium or large wouldn't be so big, I've never seen dresses so badly sized, now I'm a senior citizen with limited mobility, my family lives in another state, my neighbors have limited mobility, I couldn't return dresses by mail as they wanted, they refused to give me a refund unless product was returned via mail, P. O. nearby is closed,, I had nowhere to leave the package, I lost $100 and discarded the dresses, even my neighbor who is a size large couldn't wear the dresses, she thought the dresses were actually XXXL.

      The solution Vermont Country Store has to my 1 star review is "late to the party," since more than 2.5 months have passed after I had I had made my final plea for a "supervisor" to handle my ********** did tell **************** persons via an exchange of emails that I planned to place an unfavorable BBB reviewI had medical issues after that, and It was another 2 weeks until I was able to place my BBB review, sadly, I have lost almost $100 & I had no room in my small apartment to keep items that I can't use, I had to discard the dresses in the trash bin, the material wasn't even suitable for rags.Most consumers who read these BBB reviews are knowledgeable and know that Vermont Country Store now should be offering an "unconditional refund, clearly too many months" have passed when a challenged with mobility issues senior citizen consumer took the time to engage in a series of emails with customer service about a supplier in their catalogue that is not selling a "true to international standards of size" dresses.

      I'm being harassed by this company! I've never made a purchase and yet I get a TON of emails each week, sometimes multiple times a day! I've never signed up for their emails! I have clicked on unsubscribe numerous times which does no good. They've sold my email address to other companies which are also a nightmare to stop getting harassed by them too. I've even set up on my email to automatically send their harassing emails to the delete folder, which does no good since they send from numerous accounts. At this point, I figure it would take me years to create rule after rule in my email to get their harassing emails to be sent to the delete folder. At this point, I'm thinking about a lawsuit. Their emails are ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I purchased simple sheers last fall from the Vermont C store. The sheers took forever to arrive. I had paid on check out with my PayPal account. So the merchant had my money Upfront.I kept calling to see where the sheers were. I kept being told they were on their way.. I asked on two separate phone calls if the sheers were made in the **, since I was tryng to understand WHY they were taking so long to arrive. I was told yes, made in the **. I believed this since every time you call the customer service line, you are forced to listen to an annoying message as you wait. The messages boast about how lucky you are that a real person from Vermont will be speaking to you soon. YIPPEE. The sheers arrived, place of origin..NOPE not the **..Why lie??? Then to add insult to injury, I get a **** telling me I owe money because my paypal expired. NOT really sure what that was about at all! I use my PayPal all the time. Even when an item is on back order, the merchant is able to still collect the debt.. I will never order from this still again. Accounting systems needs to update please! This company makes huge profits, use them to fix your accounting system

      A friend of mine once told me that she would never purchase clothing on-line because you cannot actually see what you are buying--holding the merchandise in your hand to determine the quality, and trying it on for proper fit. The Vermont Country Store has added another reason why I should not buy anything from them again. They charged me SEVEN DOLLARS just to look.Imagine walking into a retail store and being forced to pay seven dollars admission, with the understanding that the "entrance fee" would be applied to a purchase only. And if you decided to leave the store without buying anything, you don't get your seven dollars back.I have purchase clothing from many on-line vendors and NEVER was charged a fee for returns if I was not satisfied. It would seem that the Vermont Country Store is unwilling to accept the fact that the cost of doing business "on-line" is that they should pay for the returns. And given their over-inflated prices, they certainly can afford to do this. Needless to say, given the plethora of on-line clothing merchants, I won't be patronizing The Vermont Country Store again.
