In June 2021, I hired Blue Ridge Seamless Gutters (BRSG) to replace the gutters on my house for $1056. They came, ran one gutter then told me they couldn't attach it to the fascia which was a masonite board as they didn't know how to make the screws stay attached; they said I should have the contractor replace the fascia. My contractor said masonite board is common now for fascia and requires longer screws attached to rafters, something a reputable gutter company should know. He offered to put up the gutters if BRSG would run the 2nd gutter. BRSG agreed to run 2nd gutter and left it and the clamps, but charged me $1000. I had to pay an additional $200 to have the gutters put up. Plus, the 2nd gutter was about a foot too short and had to be patched. I thought BRSG should give me a partial refund since they didn't do the labor and gave me a gutter that is not seamless. Between June and Aug 11, I made 5 phone calls and sent 3 emails and received no response from BRSG. On Aug 11, I mailed a letter explaining the situation and asked for a partial refund. On Aug 19, **** ****** called, said he would come over one Saturday to replace the 2nd gutter since it "would cause problems down the road." It is now three months later, and I have not heard from BRSG again, and since then, I have had the downspouts attached to my drainage system. I do not want the gutter replaced since that would require more holes to be drilled in the fascia. I think BRSG should reimburse me for the labor they did not do, the defective gutter and the $200 extra I had to pay to get the job completed. I think a $600 refund is reasonable.
