I initially tried to cancel my membership with Anytime Fitness in January of 2021. I stopped in, called, and emailed with no success. Since this time I have emailed, called, ******** messaged and stopped in and have not been able to speak to anybody about canceling my membership or gotten a response. After a year of trying with no success I filed a stop payment with my bank. They contacted me shortly after this telling me I had to fill out a questionnaire and turn it in, along with paying the balance since the time I stopped payment in addition to 30 days beyond whenever they would approve my cancelation. I do not see trying to cancel for a year and being told I have to pay beyond that to be fair. I went to ******** 3 hours ago to ask if anybody else has had this issue and so far 7 other people have shared similar stories with this exact same gym and location. I can provide screenshots of my reaching out through various means and other peoples experiences. Please help. I stopped by multiple times since January 2021 during staffed hours to find no staff there. I called both the woodstock and front royal location and they were not able to help as they're separate owners, but they suggested every method that I had already tried. I stopped payments because I spent a year trying to cancel, now they want me to pay for 3-4 additional months to cancel through them. I had more proof of phone calls but have gotten a new phone recently. The last screenshot is from when my dad ******** messaged them for me (in February of 2021) because every other method had gone unsuccessful or unanswered. I had already emailed the email they provided him. They did not respond to him after that.
