We worked with Daniel from start to finish - he and the company are wonderful. From the quoting process through material selection and work being performed, our questions were always answered and we felt supported, but not pressured. We opted to get gutter guards and replace the skylights. After they finished working (a 2-day job), the crew picked up debris and did a thorough sweep for nails. Outstanding Local Small Business hired for roofing. Clear pricing, explanations, products, options, scheduling, arrival, performance including clean-up, billing, warranties. Bravo! Would hire again. Wish all contractors like them! I did check this site and others before hiring. One of the few roofers to automatically give a longer workmanship warranty than 10 years without extended warranty purchase. Competitors speak well of their reputation. After a storm took shingles off our roof causing a water leak in the house we called around to get an emergency tarp and repair done. So glad we selected RM Banning to help us! They were so easy to deal with. Came out immediately to tarp the roof at a fair and reasonable price. Quickly gave us a quote for a permanent fix and voila - all done! Great communication (even helped us understand the insurance claim process), they show up on time, take pictures so you can see everything they've done, and repair everything correctly. Highly recommend RM Banning and their amazing staff!Review from Freddie K

Thank you for the work you did. Customer service was very good about keeping me informed of what was happening and when. Two pieces of siding were replaced which had been blown off the house during a strong windy day. The siding was ordered, they then were installed, and then painted to match the surrounding siding. They did this as scheduled, however I was called out of town. Upon returning, i checked it out. All done well. Thank you, FKReview from Guenet F

I had a full roof and gutter replacement done January 2023 with this contractor. I was very well satisfied with the entire process from the fist inspection to the final clean up. I would whole heartedly recommend them for quality, professionalism and commitment to excellence. The communication with Daniel D*** was open and honest throughout the process and they did as they said from start to finish.Review from KC

I had a great experience with R.M. Banning. I meet with three different roofing companies and their estimate fell in the middle but the attention to detail and knowledge about the job and its challenges sold me on them (even if they had the highest bid). Daniel invested a lot of time in the job even before I took his bid. He was a great point of contact and was on site at various times throughout the job, which is not common with many contractors. Not only was the work of the highest quality, I felt we were collaborating on my house in a meaningful way. Communication was consistent and reliable throughout the process. We have had a lot of work done since purchasing the home and wish that Banning could have done all of it! We had a large exterior job that included new flat roof with repairs, five new windows, resealed older windows, removed siding in front, reparged stucco, painted house and trim, lime washed brick entry, reflashed peak roof in areas, and several small things.Review from Jay S

Twenty-five years ago, we needed to replace our roof and, after evaluating several vendors in the Northern Virginia area, decided to go with Banning Roofing. This year, when we decided to replace our roof again, we asked Banning as well as several other vendors for estimates, and once again, Banning gave us the best deal. The job took two days to complete and Oscar (the foreman) and his crew were careful with our garden plants and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Finally, when we noticed that one of our flip gutters was malfunctioning, a phone call brought Oscar and his crew back and they fixed the problem immediately. I have no hesitation recommending Banning as an excellent roof contractor and would be happy to call on him again in the future.Review from Rick F

We had R H Banning install a new roof SYSTEM,roof gutters and gutter guards. All work done on time ,professionally at a very reasonable price Customer service is great as Angela keeps you informed as to what to expect But all comes from top as Rich presents products simply and personably like an old friend and personally inspected the project. Totally satisfied. Would gladly work with them anytime
