On Nov. 18, 2022 the Reliable Repairs tech came to give me an estimate to repair my microwave oven, which is part of a Whirlpool microwave/oven combination integrated into my condo's kitchen. I paid him $70 for the estimate and then agreed to an estimate of $599 for the repair which involved the heating element and one other part. On 12/9/22 the technician came with another man to remove the oven and microwave, install the parts and reinstalled both the oven and microwave to their original space. I paid him $581.94 (check #****) which was the balance due after the $70 estimate charge (ck #**** on 11/18/22). The microwave worked fine for about two weeks, then stopped heating just as it had before. After numerous calls and broken appointments , i.e., on Jan. 13, at 9 a.m. tech did not show up and there was no answer to my calls on Jan 13 and 16 to find out what happened; an apppointment subsequently made for the 20th by the tech ******) was not kept. I had my building manager call and she got through immediately. I talked to the manager and he said ***** would call me. ***** called at 9 a.m. on 23rd and told me he'd be here in 15 minutes. He arrived around 9:30 a.m. on 1/23/23 and told me that the microwave was out of alignment and needed new hinges and to call the office around 4 p.m. that afternoon to get an estimate for the cost of that repair. I called the office at 4 p.m. and left a message as there was no answer. I called and left messages almost every day after that. The warranty Reliable offers is 60 days and it appears they're just waiting for that warranty to run out. I've borrowed a countertop microwave in the meantime, but want them to refund the $581.94 since the mw combo does not heat. I am 83 years old, partiallly blind after a stroke and truly need that microwave as I'm familiar with it's operation. If they cannot or will not repair it, I need that refund to help purchase a new combo to fit in my kitchen.

In reply to your message re my complaint #********, I will have to wait for my daughter to return from vacation to help me recover any
documents.  As I mentioned in my letter to you, I am partially blind and it is difficult for me to find paperwork.  I do recall that there is no fixed address on the company's invoices, just phone numbers in D.C./MD/VA, and no names.  All I have a receipts for checks paid, which I believe I sent with my complaint?  I've printed your correspondence and when my daughter returns, I'll see what other documentation I can find.  Thank you very much for your response and interest in my complaint.  *****************************
