Before I list all the mechanical deficiencies that I know about now since I bought the vehicle, I want it to be known that I never thought there wouldnt be anything to fix on a vehicle with the mileage this has on it. I believe the amount and severity of the defects are way beyond what would be acceptable for the price I paid. **************** told me he purchased vehicles that were no less than an 8 on a scale of 10. He said hed had it examined and inspected. Either his inspectors were purposely pulling the wool over his eyes, or he wasnt being truthful. I sent **************** an email on 12/23/22 and texted & tried to call on 12/30 without a response until I messaged Distinct Motors from their web page. **************** responded to that message with a call on 1/4/23. The email and text that were sent were what was used when I purchased the vehicle and during that time, responses were immediate. When **************** did call on 1/4/23, he told me again how he had the vehicle inspected. It was sold as is and they do not take vehicles back. The vehicle is a 2008 Lexus RX350 with ******* miles on it. His price out the door was $11,600.00. The ad I found the car in had a ***** Blue Book value of $3,000.00 less than what I paid. The price seemed in line with what I was finding online for similar vehicles, so I trusted this man. Test drove the vehicle Friday 12/2 it was on/off raining Purchased vehicle 12/3 it was raining that day: noted spare key fob did not work and lumbar function in both seats did not work. **************** said most likely a battery for the fob and a fuse for the lumbar. As you read down, the battery for the fob didnt solve - $300 bucks for a new fob. Was not a blown fuse for the lumbar troubleshooting the issue is $325 the fix will be another cost. When we got the vehicle home, the back hatch open button melted,,,,,,,,, PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT 2008RX350 FOR MUCH MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONBusiness response

The day the vehicle was test drove it was sunny and the consumer test drove the vehicle for an hour. The next day it was raining and the consumer came in to purchase the vehilce. All vehicles are inspected by a licensed company to do inspections outside of our company. We didn't hear anything from the consumer until 45 days after the purchase. The vehicle was sold AS-IS, so no refund will be issued. The vehicle did come with a 3 month/4,500 mile power train warranty which is standard.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I tried to call, text, and email ************** late December after I took the vehicle to ************** and had them put it on the rack. I'm attaching the email on 12/23, a screenshot of the text conversation where I asked him to call me on 12/30, and a screenshot of the call log showing I tried to call on 12/30 with no answer.

I had purchased a 2009 ****** Outlook 11-02-2021 from Distinct Motors LLC I was not informed of any damage to the car from the seller when the car was purchased. From my own personal inspection the car was in good condition. On the day of purchase the dealer ‘Distinct Motors’ informed that there was a cracked tail light and water damage to the car that they will fix. It took approximately about 4 weeks for me to take possession of the car on 12-02-2021. Throughout the 4 weeks I was informed about multiple damages to the car from the dealer such as multiple electrical issues. The inspection was done the day I took possession of the vehicle ’12-02-21.’ On 12-4-2021 I experienced electric issues to my car a check engine light came on, I was unable to unlock my car from the inside, as well as a broken A/C unit. The dealership refuses to fix these issues and denied a refund.Business response

The vehicle was sold As-Is. At the time of purchase the vehicle was reduce $***** dollars because it needed repair. The vehicle also came with a 3rd party warranty for 3 months or 4,500 miles which ever came first. This was included in the price at the time of sale. We made repairs to the vehicle before the consumer took possession of the vehicle. No further repairs will be made through us and a refund will not be issued.
