      Placed an order o line last week with my bank debit card. Had to return because they always say something is in stocks and it never is. They said the money would go back to my card in 3 to 5 business days. It's been 6 now and I call customer support and they say the system messed up and issued me a virtual gift card and the only thing they can do is cancel it and issue me a check. I will have to pay to cash the check because it's not free. I want my money returned to my card like it was supposed to be and I was told. You cannot take someone's money and not return it to where it came from especially if it's not the payment type you received.

      Just Stay away if you order online and need to do a return. They only return to original payment and will not give store credit even when you tell them the card does not exist anymore you bought this on due to being hacked. Now I have 50.00 in limbo somewhere but needed new headlights that were only 6 months old. What a joke!!!!!!!!

      Around my area there are many retailers from which to purchase auto parts. For my past 3-4 purchases (batteries and air filters) I've used AAP and have had good experiences with parts availability and their customer service. However, I'm beginning to believe that AAP rebate offerings are a big sham. I submitted a form on Dec. 13, 2023 for a K&N air filter purchase rebate that purportedly would take 6-8 weeks to receive - today is April 4, 2024 and no rebate. I've sent two email inquiries (Feb. 27 and Mar. 28) and their replies have been the same "throw-down" word-for-word response that my rebate is being processed. According to "Track A Rebate" on the AAP website, my rebate payment was processed on Feb. 5. Bottom line, I don't fault their local store in any way but I refuse to do business with a dishonest retailer.

      I bought rotors and pads for a brake change. I paid for everything at ***** store, but had to pick up the rotors from the ****** **** location down the road. I used the pads, but the rotors did not need changing on my car. I tried to return the unopened rotors to the ***** store on ** ******* where I paid. The associate told me I had to return them where I picked them up, as it was their stock. So I tried to return them at the ****** **** location. When I got there at the ****** **** location, the associate in the leather jacket with a constant toothpick in his mouth told me they could not take returns that were more than $100 value without manager approval, even unopened with a receipt (which I had). He stated I could only bring them when the manager was there, and they were only there from opening until 2pm. I asked how long do I have to return the rotors, he stated" its up to the manager". I said I work during those hours. He said "that sucks". So I left. I called the manager of the ****** **** store and verified what leather coat told me, and yes, the manager does not trust his employees to take returns. And he got off at 2, but the other manager "should" be there. I then reviewed the return policy the website and confirmed you can return a part to "any" location with the receipt and do not need manager approval. Also, the website stated there is a 45 day return policy, not manager discretion. I won't spend another dime at any advance Auto parts store again. In truthful employees all the way around up to the management level. No thanks.

      I went here on 10/13/2023 to purchase a cabin air filter and two wipes for a car I was not driving. I asked the sales associate who was very friendly to help me find these as I had no cellular internet at this location. They found the correct parts in the computer and in the cash register sold me the correct parts. However, in reality they had picked up the wrong box for the air filter instead of a "PBC35660" they picked up a "PBC35530". When I went to install the part two days later I realized I had the wrong part. I returned to the store and worked with a different associate. They were unable to locate the transaction through the rewards card used. I had accidentally brought the wrong receipt. I was informed I needed some form of receipt to do the exchange. So I went back home, and found the correct receipt and returned. Upon returning to the store we discover the receipt and says I was sold the correct part. The part I need to return is not the correct part. Therefore, I cannot return it. This is absurd. The stores associate sold me the wrong part and another associate refuses to accept the exchange of a brand new looking filter sold to me a few days earlier. I am informed I now need to return to the store a fourth time to speak with a manager. Who knows if the manager will even help me, as they seem pretty determined to not help me. UPDATE: TLDR: Manager is extremely unfriendly and refuses to assist me, shop somewhere else. It turns out the store never bothered to "investigate" this claim and still to this day refuses to acknowledge their employee sold me the incorrect part after ALSO ringing up the incorrect part. I had given up on this and decided to let it go, but needed to get a part from the store as the other part shop didn't have it in stock. I went back in and tried again and the manager was not in, big surprise, so an employee called the manager who IMMEDIATELY and without hesitation calls me a lair.

      dont buy fuel pumps from them i had 2 pumps go bad in 2 years 2nd pump left me broke down in ****** ***** took 2nd pump back for warranty the manager said theres no warranty because ive replaced it twice iwiil not purchase any from them ever again this happened in *** **** i spent alot with them over the years not any more

      Placed an order online on 1-2-2024. I used money from a gift card to pay for part of the cost, the rest went on my credit card. Have a email from my bank about the purchase, also shows on my online bank account. after not receiving anything from Advance auto parts about shipment I started looking into the status. Tried several times to contact customer service and each time was told they couldn't find any order then they disconnected or hung up on me. Guess I'm out the money from my gift card. Now I have to spend my time dealing with my bank to see if they can put a stop payment on it. Will not do business online with them and unfortunately the nearest store is a hour drive.

      Usually really good but lately been alot of bait and switch see a price on something and th3n they say something is wrong and charge over that sticker price. Called corporate then said they didn't care and have instore fix it and they won't pr I wouldn't of called corporate but neither will do anything about it
