I filed for bankruptcy and received a discharge on June 17, 2020. After that discharge, I opened a secured credit card with OpenSky in good faith to rebuild my credit. I responsibly used the card, maintained payments, and closed the account approximately one year later due to the annual fee. However, upon recently reviewing my Equifax credit report, I noticed that OpenSky is reporting the account as discharged in bankruptcy. This is inaccurate and misleading. The account did not exist at the time of my bankruptcy filing or discharge and therefore could not have been included or discharged as part of that bankruptcy.I have attempted to dispute this error with the credit bureau, but the inaccurate information remains. This false reporting may harm my credit standing and misrepresent my financial history.I am requesting that OpenSky correct this error by updating the account status with Equifax to reflect the accurate timeline that the account was opened and closed after my bankruptcy discharge and was not included in the bankruptcy. Please investigate this matter and ensure the appropriate corrections are made.

I have been deathly ill and was great on my account until I started to get worse about 6 1/2 months ago. I fell ill. I did have open sky wave late fee in April but they did c*** to help me. I have a savings account with them yet they are being ruthless. I want it be known the government allows this criminal activity and it's wrong. Good people have stuff happen but they c*** on us. They are inflating way above what they are supposed to do. I will pay my payment due but I want my finance charges adjusted and late fees. I was always happy with my account before this happened to me. I would like to keep my account but this is insane. My large credit card company's don't do this to me just wrong !!

According to Open Sky, I attempted to make a payment on May 5th of 2025, and it returned as insufficient funds on May 6th. However, this was due to banking error. I have record evidence that a payment was set on May 6th and cleared May 7th on my bank account. It also shows the payment went through on Open Sky payment history. I talked to 4 call center employees of Open Sky on May 13th at 8:00AM. Two of them hung up the call, one told me I have to wait for the next payment set on May 16th to clear, and they can waive the fee, the fourth person told me there was nothing they could do. I am demanding the fee be waived as a good will courtesy, or I will have to close my account promptly and get my security deposit back

Over one month ago I sent Open Sky $500 off of my credit card to open a secured credit card with them. A few hours later the mail ran I received an approved offer from them for a credit card with no $500 deposit for Security. So on the same day, I called Open Sky and canceled my application for the second card with them and explain the situation to them and was originally told it would just be put back on card. Its very important to know that I am totally permanently disabled. I live off a very small disability check and need my money in bad way. All of this was explained to Open Sky and it is now going on five weeks later and I still do not have my $500 deposit every week they tell me it will be another week. I find it very hard to believethat Open Sky cannot refund $500 to a person that is in great need for it because they are in financial straits as they claim that it takes them up to 8 to 10 weeks to issue a refund I live in ******* and Georgia state law says that a business must refund your money within 7 to 10 business days. Well its pretty easy to see where we are many many times overthat and still as of today and tomorrows mail thats coming. There is still no money from Open Sky( week number five ) because now they have insisted on sending a check Rather than just putting the money back on the original card as they had originally told me they would and as I had originally asked them to do. This bank and credit card company is too big to have to jerk a man like myself who is dying around over $500 for according to what they say will be two months or longer before I get my money back Im sorry, but that is ridiculous. I am now officially late on my rent and my truck payment and will have to pay approximately $100 in late fees because Open Sky cannot do business in a honorable and thoughtful way. And dont even get me started on how rude the customer service agents are when you try to ask them to help you get your money back.

In 2023, I opened a fully secured credit card account with **********************/Capital Bank N.A., which was unjustly closed while I was hospitalized for over 6 months due to a life-threatening medical emergency. Despite being in good standing, they closed the account without notice, then reported it negatively to all three credit bureaus, harming my credit during recovery. On Nov 7, 2023, I mailed a formal Notice and Demand via Certified Mail #****-0710-5270-0943-3368-43, requesting validation and resolution. They ignored it. I filed BBB Complaint #******** in Dec 2023. Again, no cure. From June 2024 to March 2025, I sent at least six more certified notices, including: Affidavit of Default, Opportunity to Cure, and Notice of Fault. OpenSky never responded. I possess **** green card receipts proving delivery.Their silence is deemed commercial dishonor. Their actions constitute defamation, fraud, and breach of contract under ****, ****, and UCC 1-308.I now demand that OpenSky IMMEDIATELY remove all derogatory data from Equifax, Experian, and **********, send me a signed affidavit of correction, and compensate for damage caused. If unresolved within 10 days, I will file a $1M lien and escalate to federal agencies. I seek full remedy and resolution now.Certified Mail #****-0710-5270-0405-9948-64

Was notified by a credit monitoring agency that I had a delinquent payment on an Open Sky Credit Card account which I have not used in months. I tried to log on to my account online and my credentials were denied. I called the company on January 19th and was notified that there was a balance of $4,400+ on an account that had a $500 credit limit. The person on the phone was very short with me, but asked me if I called to change personal information and if I had requested a new card to be issued, which I replied to no. They asked if I made purchases or withdrawals in ********, which I responded "No". They asked if I made any payments at a facility containing the name "*******************" which i responded "No". I advised the company I have been in ************** and made no purchases, nor did I request a change in my personal information and that fraud had been committed on my account. I questioned how it is possible an account with a $500 credit limit could be allowed to have a $4,400+ balance and the representative would not comment and simply stated my account would be closed and an explanation would be mailed to me. I received multiple late payment notifications, and a letter that my account was closed. No mention about my dispute of charges.I then mailed a certified letter to put in writing that I was disputing the charges mentioned during the phone call. My account should have had a zero balance as I have not used the card previously in months. I have confirmation that they received my letter. Since they allowed someone to call and change my account information I requested billing statements that show charges out of state. No acknowledgement of my fraud has been presented, a clear violation of the ****. Some charges have been credited but credit reports of delinquent payments along with a balance remain. I have received no update regarding the fraud investigation. A police report has been filed, legal actions may ensue.

I paid my account with Open Sky IN FULL over seven weeks ago and they have NOT reported it paid to ********** as required by law. It still shows that I am using 110% of my total credit limit, which made my score go down. I paid IN FULL SEVEN WEEKS AGO but yet they still have not reported it as paid. This should NOT be allowed to happen. I want my ********** report updated IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I applied for a secured card (regrettably) in August. I never used the card because 1) I never received it in the mail 2) I no longer had use for it. Months later I reviewed my credit report and found i had a derogatory remark from OpenSky for this account, with an overdue balance of $132, despite never using it for anything. Furthermore, without the card I cannot even login online to OpenSky to see my account nor do anything with it! I called customer service and explained the situation, they were able to see I hadn't used nor activated the card and assured me that they would "re-age" the account to erase the debt and send me a new card. Despite this, I still have not received a card, nor has the derogatory remark been removed from my report. Owing a balance of $132 for a card I never even used, and never even received, is absolutely ridiculous. I intend to seek legal counsel to contest this if this isn't resolved in a timely manner because the circumstances of this situation must surely be contravening the law.
