I wouldnt have expected it but this dealer is involved in shady practices where they will align multiple buyers, run credits for their own kick back and then refuse to sell after you decline their added warranties. They have been using the market to leverage multiple buyers to pull multiple credits and see who they can make the most money on.I inquired about a car, got told flat out no on Saturday since I wasnt close enough. Since now we are at the end of the month, they want to make the sale for their month end quotas and books. I Got a call today saying its available for me. I agree to purchase meeting all their demands and continue to run my credit, get all my signed forms and then they come around and tell me someone else beat me to it. How can someone beat me to it, if the finance manager is the approver for transactions, and took a deposit from someone AFTER he pulled my credit? Make it make sense.Which is insane on how someone can beat you to it, if youre already in the middle of buying a car. I only thought these types of scenarios happen in forum stories until it happened to me today.They proceeded to talk about the situation acting as if they cared or kept me on the hook for the entire morning until they could confirm if their other buyer was coming in that day. So I got placed second in que for a car I was buying and pulling credit and signing papers on FIRST.Business is business, the take away should be that be prepared for shady practices from this dealer then push comes to shove since they cant keep their word on a sale. Says a lot about the *** GM, Finance manager **** and ***** and salesman.

On June 19, 2022 Mechanicsville Toyota sold me a lemon vehicle. Two months after I purchased the truck, with only ****** miles on it, it sat with engine failure for more than 3 months. I incurred over $4,000 in expenses during the time my vehicle was inoperable. Mechanicsville Toyota did NOTHING to help me rectify the situation. The only thing they did was provide what I was told was a "loaner" vehicle. That "loaner" ceased to be a "loaner" when they charged my credit card without authorization for over $3,400.This was the 3rd vehicle I purchased from Mechanicsville Toyota and the last! Their customer service and follow thru is beyond AWFUL. They do not care about their customers ONLY the initial sale.
