The Richmond office of Renters Warehouse created the most miserable experience searching for tenancy that I have ever encountered. If I was a landlord I'd stay far away as they clearly aren't that invested in communicating with prospective tenants. First off, it took almost a full business week to get in touch with someone by phone. There are almost no ways to contact the office and speak to a real person, only endless emails sent into the void never to be returned. After I finally got on the phone with one of their agents, I specifically asked if a property was still available for immediate take over and if there were any other applicants. I was told that the property was definitely still available, so we spent $110 to get our applications in, heard back the next morning that they needed an additional document early Friday morning, and then radio silence until Monday at 7 pm. This 7pm email was the first time they acknowledged that they had everything from us, and in the same email they said that there were already two applications submitted ahead of ours. I specifically called to ask if there were any other applicants and the answer was no. With no way to contact them other than hoping you'd get a return email maybe once every 24 hours, they made us lose out on another property while we waited for a response. They are a bunch of crooks and liars trying to gain extra income from rental applications. We believe that the applicant was approved before our application was looked at, which would entitle us to a refund of our applicant fee as stated in their documents "If your application is received after another applicant has already been approved for tenancy, you may request a refund of your application fee ". Additionally, I know they record all their phone calls, and I wanted a copy of my call with the agent because I was blatantly lied to. On January 11th they said they would "investigate" and get back to me, but of course, that hasn't happened.

***** did not state I had to pay gas and almost 2 years later I find this out so now Im stuck with a 2 year back bill. You get no response when calling and no return call oh but you will get a respond text several days later. I WILL NEVER go thru them again. Im sure they will go back to my original lease and modify it but I have the original

Dealing with Renters Warehouse Richmond is a truly miserable experience. When we moved in, there were shards of glass in the backyard (they knew we have an 18-month old!). Also at move-in...- there were roaches. - the oven and washer didn't work (this was only discovered THE *** OF movie-in... the ** team and landlord hadn't bothered to inspect). - there were nails all over the driveway Since then, the nightmare has only worsened. Turns out the neighbor is/was the property owner, and she spies on us with her phone camera. Her son (actual landlord) came to our front door on a Sunday night, and banged on it loudly, waking up the toddler... and it turns out he was inebriated (he'd been drinking at his mom's). His wife swore at us. Etc. Really lovely people. And ** allows it (after trying to pretend they didn't know the neighbor was a poperty owner/manager... even though she bought the replacement oven).The list goes on and on...

Beware. Renters Warehouse will not respond to maintenance requests, even if those requests are urgent and the circumstances are life-threatening. My wife and I have been repeatedly attacked by aggressive hornets nesting on one of their properties, and they have refused to take action.

I contacted renters warehouse about a rental property I put in two applications one from myself and one for my co-applicant my credit is excellent and my income is also excellent way above what they requested I got refuse the application because I did not have six months worth of checks stubs I think these people use any excuse they can to scam you out of the Application fees I’ve been through this before with other companies it is not fair it is fraudulent and it should be illegal $*** down the drain for no reason because of this company
