Wish I could take My money back. So far the only "maintenance" they did was come over and tell a licensed professional that he was wrong, not even 10 min later she says she's had no training. They also tried fixing a drawer I had and completely ruined the bracket and it is now sitting crooked. Enough to where I can't put the drawer back in. Just the past couple of days that it got colder our manager refused to reply to the fact that I have no water. I sent an email and a work order to the manager and I haven't heard anything. I then called the emergency line and no one picked up. This company is just out to get your paycheck.(****************, **********)Review from Brookshire U

Wish I could a -5 stars!**************************** in ************* is run by this comp.It wasn't too bad when I moved in. The last 1.5 yrs have been horrible.In '22 raised the rent 2 times due to increase in maintenance. What maintenance?A year later-street lights are out, when you drive the roads you dodge potholes,the pool has no handrail for handicap access(against *** guidelines) it also has no step ladders to get out on the opposite end-it does have a cone to cover the hole for the handrail,the office does not have handicap access(again violation of *** *************** office has a list of items of things that I was told 3 different times by the manager **** since August '22, again in ************ of '23 would be fixed in the house I rent.A couple things have been fixed, but not the main items.So where is the money going?The office has received 2 emails multiple phone calls from a company trying to verify my rent payments.They have failed to acknowledge let alone respond to their requests.They supposedly have a system to report your payments to credit agencies,I've tried for almost 2 yrs to have it done, to date they can't get me information to sign up, so I paid someone to collect it. Yet they can't take the time to give the company I paid any information.Phone calls & emails go unanswered for days sometimes if ever.Staff in the office, can't tell you how many times there is no one there a week or how their lack of concern is so obvious it makes you almost laugh. So, what are the residence paying for to live in what is becoming a dump?Why do I pay "lot rent"? I pay for water, trash and have to pay to have the grass cut.What is maintained?The skirting that was finally replaced this summer(ironically enough just before the third rent increase in 1 yr) when it needed to be 3 yrs ago.Maybe the pretty Mums that were put on the office porch just before the first hard freeze, not earlier when it would have made sense. I'm in the process of looking for a decent park. Here is my problem with Parkland, if I buy the home out right, why should I be having to pay $30 a month per pet ? I have two small dogs.That would add $60 to the lot rent per month...for what ? I'll be owning my trailer, not renting, so where does the extra come from for my two pets ?Plus you have to cut your own grass and pay for water and sewer ?What the f*** is the lot rent covering ? It's certainly not because the parks in ******* ** area have pools, parks, tennis or anything...these parks have nothing for amenities. Something is shady here, shady as h***Review from Rita V G.

I have been trying for the past,almost 11 years to get Parkland Ventures to put in a new hot water heater in ,what was their property until this last December. But I was always told it was under $500(which it Is Not) and that it was our responsibility. They have burned out 3 or 4 elements on my hot water heater(which we paid to have replaced each time) even though it's their plumbing causing the problem. Now I'm told I'm responsible for it because we own it. I am absolutely sure,,,,that we have been treated in a not-so legal manner concerning, more than just that one problem....I do intend to seek legal counsel on ALL the subjects. It would only cost Parkland Ventures a very small amount to do what is fair and just...Thank GOD we live in ***** and can file a claim for 5 times the damages. This park has stabbed their tenants with unsatisfactory rate hikes, when they have done nothing to settle the already long due problems that they simply choose to ignore.....Review from R j.

They DO. NOT. CARE. They let the homes fall apart without repairs and charge you for bogus violations like not closing the trash lid all the way (not one cm allowed open). Stray cats by the dozens everywhere, houses with 5+ cars taking up room on all sides of the driveways, needles and shell casings by the mailboxes. The park down the street by the school has people in cars selling drugs 24/7. They will never give your high dollar deposit back. They will use any and every excuse to make sure you never see it again even if you follow the lease rules down to ***. One star is one too many. Cant wait for them to be shut down or taken over by a (hopefully) better company.Review from Jean

Please read this WHOLE review it is very true and Accurate; it could really save you a big headache!! Parkland Ventures Inc who owns 14 in MI and more in 7 states. So, they think they can do what they want and make up their own rules and act like they are law! when they by law can't enforce many of them. I have lived with my sister for the last couple of years in Centennial Farms and moved out last month because of all the ** and how the park is ran which she will be doing also once she gets her ducks in a row, she doesn't care about breaking her lease like many don't! Many are very concerned and don't understand why Parkland Ventures Inc, business practices and how they run their parks and all the rules they try to enforce. Have not been investigated and something done by anyone. They rob people just like in the compliant posted 01/20/2021, the tenant moved out and sold their home, so legally were no longer a tenant, no longer was responsible for the home or lot rent the 3rd party was! But yet they charged the ex-tenants lot rent, they even admit it in their reply PLEASE go read this complaint, so they knew the tenant no longer owned the home! Nothing is being done about all they do. They just keep replying to the complaints and reviews twisting and turning it trying to make it look like it is the tenant's fault even on here. Such as that, raising the rent even though nothing is being done. the park half the streetlights are out for months, and the front and back mailboxes lights have been out for months. I talked to the plowing company, and they have not raised their fee's They they are not allowed to plow as needed and many can't get out to go to work and they are told flat out not to salt the roads! just at the clubhouse, the rest of the roads are a nightmare, the whole time i was there our road wasn't salted even once, I was told this firsthand! Some of us asked many times even in writing to get our driveways fixed and nothing. They keep raising the right when noting is being done , they are the highest in the area they even raised it nothing many are trying to recover financially from covid and even charged late fee's .They try to enforce a few rules that are against the law, some that infringe on our rights! and many that are just dumb.They have told Tenants they are not allowed to have guns in their homes even if they won the home! they told us our dog couldn't have toys outside and many more rules they can't enforce and are dumb to many to list, and I know someone who did file a complaint here and they just got so harassed that they ended up just moving out. I guess like everything if you have the money, you can get away with anything. Everywhere you look this company has nothing but complaints and negative reviews. the old owners use to help the tenants out with grass seeds and a lot, but this company does nothing! No one is looking out for the tenants. Just like I find it very convenient that three days after I send the BBB an email about all of this, my sister told me that the streetlights were worked on like the BBB gave them a heads up. The BBB and others need to step up and do something about all of these complaints and this company! I am also contacting the governor's office and others. This company is far from tenant and pet friendly or friendly at all! Beware! If you have to or plan on having to move into a park do your homework and make **** sure this company doesn't own it, you will regret it dearly! I've lived in this Brookshire neighborhood for over 20 years. I've seen a lot of managers come and go. Some do better jobs than others. For the most part, its been a safe and quiet neighborhood. I grew up here and now I am raising my children in this neighborhood as well. We are currently saving for a house, but I won't ever say anything bad about this place when friends are looking to apply to live here.. The only thing I would really complain about is the increase in rent.Parkland Ventures Inc Response
