We dutifully paid on time and have record of payment (that we have screenshot and twice sent) to NAPA Anesthesia for treatment of our daughter ************************* and are being harassed now by a collection agency. Here are specific details: -On 11/22/23, I emailed "*******" at NAPA Anesthesia as requested to send proof of payment after NAPA sent a bill that had already been paid on 10/21/23. I sent a screenshot of check 6418 with confirmation # included from our bank indicating that the check was process on 10/21. -On 1/3/23, again after a phone call with "****" I again re-sent the proof of payment and **** stated that it may take a couple of months to get through their system and we may still receive bills. -On 5/6/23, we received a letter dated 4/28/23 from ********* *********** ** ******* stating that we owe an outstanding amount. We paid, we sent proof twice, we spoke with representatives who assured us that they would fix the problem and mix up on their end. Instead, due to errors on their end, we are now at risk! Had surgery in July 2021 and although a portion of the surgery was expected to be cosmetic, it could not be done to anatomical factors. The procedure that was done was almost entirely non-cosmetic. I asked them to file an insurance claim with my medical insurance in the fall 2021 since the nature of the procedure changed and they refused. I filed the claim on my own at that point and in January 2022 my insurance ruled that the procedure was a medical procedure and not cosmetic and they agreed to pay the claim. I had to prepay $1075 before surgery as it was anticipated to be mostly cosmetic and and in January 2022 my insurance company gave them $680 for the anesthesia services, and they ruled that my responsibility is $0. I have been requesting reimbursement of the $1075 since January 2022. I have sent multiple emails. They threatened to send false letters to my insurance company at one point but thankfully never did. They stopped responding to my emails. I wrote a letter to the CEO of the company and it was ignored. I had my insurance company call them in August 2022 and they said the plan was to file a corrected insurance claim as the billing amount on the claim I submitted was not high enough for NAPA. I don't know why they need to do this but it is not my problem. I am requesting a refund on the $1075 I paid last summer. I would appreciate interest on the amount since they have been stonewalling me for over 7 months.
