I pay $150 monthly to Mount Hermon Pet Grooming and boarding. I was called Friday and notified that my pet was dead. I feel like the reason is suspicious and that the staff are not properly trained as advertised in their application.

I am writing in response to a complaint letter that I received ID # ********.***** ** **** * ***** **** ** ****** *** **** *** ************** I have met with Ms. ******* regarding the death of her dog, Priest. He has been part of our doggie daycare for almost a year, and instantly became a part of our family. On the day in question, the daycare was going about their usual routine, they were let out of the playroom, into the outside fenced area, while the daycare attendant gathered their afternoon lunch and snacks. While outside, it appears that Priest tried to go under one of the pen areas, and got his collar hung on the bottom of the fence, where it appeared to cut off his airway. CPR was performed immediately when he was found, but it was too late. The circumstances were unusual because the area he was found, was an area that he had never tried to get to before, he had never been a digger or tried to go under fencing before. It was a shock to us all, as we all loved him very much.Since this tragic incident, additional safety measures have been taken to ensure that something like this never happens again. The pen area is being redone, and an additional staff member has been added to remain outside with them at all times.Please feel free to contact me if additional information is needed.
