    Our family rented an RV from B&W RV Rentals on Aug 13th - Au 16th, 2021. Upon arrival it was noted there was a tear in the seam of the mattress in the bedroom. Additionally the mattress was not properly fitted on the plywood covering the bed and hung over the edge where the tear in the seam was. During course of stay the rip where the tear existed in mattress grew significantly and we were charged $589.99 ($389.99 for a new mattress with $200 shipping) to replace the entire mattress. We do not dispute the existing tear got bigger, however we do contend if the mattress hadnt already had a tear and was properly fitted on plywood vs hanging off 6+ inches the likelihood of it being further damaged in the exact same location wouldnt have been as likely. There was no recklessness or misuse on our part and normal wear on an already damaged item can be greatly exacerbated (owner even suggested it was likely somebody's foot may have gotten caught in the existing tear or something may have gotten caught on it, which again would not be possible if not for pre-existing condition of mattress).We have contacted the owners via email provided in this complaint but never received a response. When attempting to retrieve documentation and invoice owners initially sent to us in email, I receive an error so cannot attach - I do know the invoice # is **** from title of doc.We do not feel it is right to be charged to completely replace an already damaged item especially since further damage would not have occurred if mattress did not have pre-existing condition. We also have no way of knowing if owner already charged previous customer for damage and are double collecting. We would like our deposit to be refunded for the $589.99 (NOTE: owner said they only charged us $160 for shipping due to a broken cable we replace for them, however the $40 is irrelevant to the mattress charge and should remain a separate credit for other items charged which we are not disputing).

    Great staff that takes the time to explain everything needed for a great adventure. Roadside assistance is also great from questions to camping advice this is a one stop shop. We had a great trip to Miami FL and would recommend this facility over many others that do not hold the same cleanliness standard as well as the professionalism that B&W RV holds. Also the owner is an ARMY Veteran!
