We had previously done business with Towers Plumbing to replace a garbage disposal and called them again for a new one. They arrived on 09/26/23 in a truck labeled Valley Plumbing. The technician told me Valley purchased Towers 5 years prior. They quoted us a price of $700 which was $400 more than 5 years ago but he indicated there had been a large increase in costs. After installation I was told to make the check payable to Valley Plumbing and the technician would email me an invoice. I received the invoice, headed Tower Plumbing at the top, which only showed an aggregate amount of $705.50. I called Valley/Tower Plumbing and requested an itemized billing, i.e. the cost of the garbage disposal, if there were any other parts and if so the cost, how much was charged for labor, and what the amount of tax was. I was told their invoices only show the aggregate amount. I again requested an itemized invoice. She said she would contact the technician. I have heard nothing. As a consumer I believe it is reasonable, and perhaps required, that I know specifically what I am paying for and what each charge is. I am concerned as to why they refuse to itemize each of their charges.
