I previously did 2 refi loans with the *************** with a gentlemen named ******. Things went decent, not great. Based on them having a lot of my documents already I was doing a purchase of a third property in *******. It was the worst mortgage experience Ive ever had! And Ive had a lot. I was continuously promised timelines that werent met. And I foolishly trusted them to be proceeding as planned. After having 40 days to gain loan approval, we were ******* the last 2 days! Couldve been avoided. There was some renegotiating going on in between. But they were very unprepared for each step of the process. Additionally, I was over charged for a rushed appraisal I was told Equihome would cover the cost of. ****** rarely returned emails to my agent or the title company. He was obviously over worked. When it was the day before we needed approval, I was told my loan was declined based on the previous primary residence declaration that Equihome did. I can understand if a mistake was made, but I didnt even receive a call or an email from ****** or anyone else explaining what happened. I had to call numerous times to gather any info.Regarding the appraisal, I was charged over $1100 for a rushed appraisal I was told that they would cover the rushed cost for. Nothing. So frustrating and stressful! Now Im working with a new lender and the process couldnt be smoother thankfully! Please beware of the ******** office and their fast talking and over promising! Id live to resolve this. My hope is to warn others. This cost me dearly in time, storage unit rentals, additional appraisal fees
