Peak Alarm will get you to sign for services that you do not need. The installation of their equipment is extremely expensive, but what is worse is that they will pull out that equipment if you don't pay their exorbitant monthly fees even though you paid for the equipment. We have an office building that they are making us pay over $500 per month in monitoring fees and they are also charging our tenants for the same services and fees. We have paid over $40,000 in equipment costs. We are experiencing equipment failures that they won't come and fix. This is an unbelievable business practice they carry on with. Their sales people are hired to basically screw the unsuspecting public.Business response

At the time of this complaint the customer had a balance that was overdue. If a customer is behind on payment for work performed, we freeze the account and discontinue providing service until payments are made in full. This individual has paid in full and is a valued customer of Peak **********************. I am certain that if he was asked again, he would speak positive about our company.

I am rejecting this response because: This is simply not true. Peak's invoicing was not accurate and therefore we had a dispute with them over the type and amount of equipment that was installed and yet to be installed. The equipment never was operational and we never did receive instruction as to how to operate the equipment. We continue to have issues with their equipment. Tech support is a very random act at Peak. Very seldom can you get help on the phone and very seldom do they call you back in a timely manner. Their people are not trained to where they can help with common issues, such as passwords, simple software questions, etc. There Salt Lake operation has been a major disappointment, especially for the amount of money that they charge each month. They require that we pay over $500 per month or they won't monitor any of our services. They also have you sign documents that you know little about until it comes time for them to offer service work and they then have you at a sever disadvantage. It's basically a scam that they are running.
Sincerely,
