According to my credit report, I have a collection account with them. They’ve never sent me any kind of paperwork, even after asking them to because I’m trying to figure out if the alleged account even belongs to me. Just spoke to Heidi and she just admitted over the phone that the alleged account had the wrong amount. The alleged amount went from $3232 down to $1500 because the “numbers were transposed”. How do you get $3232 from $1500??? Sounds like they make up bs accounts with whatever amounts pops up in their head. Pretty sure that’s illegal. I’ve asked for proof that I owe this and apparently they aren’t able to prove anything. Please have them remove that off my credit report immediately! No exceptions.

Our 1st notice was mailed out to the consumer on 5/17/2023 to the address provided by our client. The mail was not returned. Messages were left on the phone # provided to us by our client with no response. The consumer called us on 7/20/2023 offering to settle the amount due and requesting documentation of the debt. After receiving further information from our client it was discovered that the wrong amount had been entered on the account and was changed to reflect the correct amount due and verification of the debt was emailed to the consumer.
The consumer has indicated the address we have on file is not correct but refused to give an updated address. We have been in contact with the consumer and offered to resolve the matter and have had no further response from her.

On or about March 4 2021 I received a debt collection letter from Utah Billing & Recovery Services. I responded to the letter on March 29, 2021 asking for additional information as I believed the debt they were collecting on was inaccurate. Utah Billing & Recovery Services never responded to my letter. On July 13, 2021 I find out that they reported the debt to the credit agencies. I am asking that they remove this from my credit report since they failed to respond to my letter dated March 29, 2021.

After receiving the consumer's complaint,  Utah Billing & Recovery contacted our client to verify the consumer's dispute. Upon further investigation, Utah Billing's client requested the debt be canceled back to them. As a result, Utah Billing reported to the credit bureaus that this account had been referred to us in error and requested the negative credit reporting be deleted from the consumer's credit record. Utah Billing reported the deletion utilizing an electronic file. We have reported it again to be deleted.  If the consumer still finds this appearing on her credit file she will need to dispute it directly with the credit bureau in question, they will then reach out to us to verify her dispute.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because Utah Recovery Services never provided a letter stating they would be requesting for this account to be deleted from my credit record. I would like to receive a letter from Utah Billing & Recovery Services as this is still showing up on my credit report.

      Sincerely,
      **** ******
